Week 10 was a crazy one in the National Football League. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs lost to Tennessee in a game that saw the Chiefs botch not one but two field goals, as one featured a mistimed snap and another get blocked. New Orleans hosted Atlanta, with two wins, and got run out of their own stadium. Lamar Jackson continued to show that he, at least for now, owns the NFL in terms of offense. Dallas showed that it could shred the Minnesota secondary, but then coach Jason Garrett reminded Cowboys fans that he is still in charge by calling mystifying running plays on second and third down deep in the red zone, sending Dallas to a disappointing home loss. Then came the end to San Francisco’s unbeaten season, thanks in part to a rookie kicker who shanked a field goal in overtime. What can we expect in NFL Week 11? Thursday, November 14
Pittsburgh (+3) at Cleveland (O/U 40) (8:20 pm ET, FOX/NFL Network)
Yes, the Steelers will have a backup quarterback starting the game — but they’ve won four in a row that way, and they have beaten the Browns 43 times since 1990 — while the Browns have won just nine times. Steelers to cover.
Sunday, November 17
Dallas (-3) at Detroit (1:00 pm ET, FOX)
Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is questionable (back fractures) for this game after missing the team’s loss to the Bears — and Detroit only lost by seven with Jeff Driskel at the helm. You have a Dallas team that usually starts slow and plays down to their opponent? Give me Detroit to cover.
Jacksonville (+3) at Indianapolis (44) (1:00 pm ET, CBS)
Brian Hoyer threw for 204 yards on Sunday for the Colts, and Marlon Mack rumbled for 74 yards. However, the Colts lost to Miami on Sunday. So give me Jacksonville to cover.
Buffalo (-5.5) at Miami (40) (1:00 pm ET, CBS)
Buffalo should have some frustrations to take out on Miami after losing in Cleveland last week. But can they get this done down in Miami? Dolphins to cover.
Denver (+10.5) at Minnesota (39) (1:00 pm ET, CBS)
Minnesota showed that they can run the ball whenever they want against Dallas, and Denver’s defense isn’t as good as the Cowboys’ and they are playing a backup quarterback. Vikings to win and cover.
New Orleans (-5.5) at Tampa Bay (50.5) (1:00 pm ET, FOX)
New Orleans should have motivation to deliver a whipping after getting spanked at home by Atlanta, while Tampa Bay just barely escaped Arizona last week. Saints to win and cover.
N.Y. Jets (+1.5) at Washington (38) (1:00 pm ET, FOX)
Dwayne Haskins is now the starter in Washington, but the Jets just knocked off the Giants last week — and Daniel Jones has more experience at the helm than Haskins, with more talent around him. Jets to cover.
Atlanta (+5) at Carolina (50) (1:00 pm ET, FOX)
Can Atlanta keep that pass rush going against Carolina and Kyle Allen? The Panhters were a goal-line away from tying the Packers on Sunday. The Kyle Allen Era will keep going with a win. Carolina to cover.
Houston (+4) at Baltimore (49.5) (1:00 pm ET, CBS)
The Ravens just hung 49 on Cincinnati on the road. They can win and cover against a Houston team that, while coming off the bye, doesn’t have the weapons on either side that the Ravens can. Baltimore to win and cover.
Arizona (+13) at San Francisco (45.5) (4:05 pm ET, FOX)
San Francisco will be more than a little ready to work the kinks out after losing to Seattle — and almost losing to Arizona on the road. But can their offense deliver? The 49ers’ defense looks elite, but the offense can’t move the ball reliably. Cardinals to cover.
Cincinnati (+10) at Oakland (4:25 pm ET, CBS)
Cincinnati…is….dreadful. But a ten-point spread? They did lose by 36 points last week. The Raiders picked up a huge AFC West win last week, edging out the Chargers. I see them blowing out the Bengals here. Oakland to win and cover.
New England (-3.5) at Philadelphia (44.5) (4:25 pm ET, CBS)
The Eagles lost by 27 points to Dallas. The Patriots are once again an elite team this year, and everyone is healthy. Pats to win and cover.
Chicago (+7) at L.A. Rams (41.5) (8:20 pm ET, NBC)
The Rams would love to get revenge for that upset loss in Chicago last year — and this year Mitch Trubisky is having a hard time throwing the ball this year — and the Rams need some redemption after losing in Pittsburgh. Rams to win and cover.
Monday, November 18
Kansas City (-3.5) at L.A. Chargers (52) (8:15 pm ET, ESPN)
All of a sudden, the Chiefs aren’t playing defense against the pass or run. It’s hard to win when your defense doesn’t do much, and the Chargers are already inside the Chiefs’ heads going back to last year. Chargers to cover.
