Two struggling teams, the Arizona Cardinals and the Minnesota Vikings, will be squaring it off at the U.S. Bank Stadium in a Week 11 NFL encounter. Given the manner both the Cards and Vikes have been playing recently, this game will probably not make for the best of viewings. Still, it should be able to offer some decent NFL wagering options for football betting enthusiasts. Here’s a brief NFL lines preview of this game, complete with free online NFL picks.

Why Bet on Arizona?

The Cardinals (4-4- 1) luckily survived the upset-minded San Francisco 49ers in a 23-20 home win last Sunday, thanks to a last-gasp field goal from Chandler Catanzaro. It wasn’t the best of games of wins by Arizona, who failed to cover the spread as 13.5-point home favorites over the hapless Niners, but it was a victory nonetheless and Arizona can use that as a motivation when it travels to Minneapolis. More encouragingly, the Cardinals have the third-best scoring defense in the nation (allowing just 17.8 PPG this season), which should be solid enough to help deal with Minnesota’s anemic offense that is averaging just 14 PPG scoring in its last 4 games and ranks worst in the NFL in offensive yards per game.

Why Bet on Minnesota?

From a five-game winning start to the season to a current four-game losing streak, the Vikings (5-4) are looking totally distraught and are in dire need of a positive change to their season. And, fortunately for them, they may just get one this week, as they are going against an Arizona team they’ve owned recently, with the Vikings going 10-3 in their last 13 overall meetings against the Cardinals. In addition, despite losing 26-20 to the Redskins last week, QB Sam Bradford showed that he could be due for a resurgence in his game, completing 77.5 percent of his passes for 307 yards and two touchdowns. If Bradford can have a good game (with better support from his running game), a win could be in the books for the hosts, given Minny’s No.1-ranked scoring defense (16.9 PPG) is well-endowed to handle Carson Palmer and his iffy Arizona offense.

Betting Picks and Predictions

As per the analysis above, this game looks set for a low-scoring encounter, bearing in mind the strength of the two scoring defenses (ranked #1 and #3) and the inconsistent nature of both offenses. In addition, the UNDER trend looks dominant for both teams, with the total going UNDER the last three straight meetings between the Cards and Vikes, and the total also going UNDER in 6 of the last 8 Minnesota games. Winning-wise, this game could go either way, but we like the Vikings to get the job done on the account of their strong play at home this season (3-1 SU/ATS) and the fact that Bradford has looked a bit better than Palmer in recent games. Oh, and the Vikings’ defense is shoulders above that of the Cardinals. Final Score Prediction: Minnesota 21, Arizona 17 Writer’s NFL Picks: Minnesota (EVEN), UNDER 40.5
