NFL Betting: Baltimore Ravens 2020 Schedule Analysis

The last time we saw the Baltimore Ravens, they were getting shocked at home by the Tennessee Titans in the AFC divisional playoff in January. They had rolled to a 14-2 regular season, making even the New England Patriots look like they were a step behind the game when they faced off, only to have Derrick Henry gash their defense time and time again. When the Ravens found themselves behind, they did not have the passing game to mount a comeback, and they ended up going home a couple weeks earlier than they had thought — and without that Super Bowl trophy. NFL betting enthusiasts are looking at the 2020 schedule to figure out how the matchups will go — take a look at our thoughts on this year’s Baltimore team.

Baltimore Ravens 2020 Schedule Analysis

Week 1: vs Cleveland

Somehow, the Browns walloped Baltimore by 15 on the road last year. Do you think the Ravens will come out with some frustration to work off? The Browns are improved this year, but Week 1 won’t be kind. Prediction: Win

Week 2: at Houston

This could be a very frustrating season for the Texans this year, and the Ravens demolished them last year when the Texans still had DeAndre Hopkins. This year shouldn’t be much different. Prediction: Win

Week 3: vs Kansas City

Two explosive offenses with exciting young quarterbacks. The Chiefs won in 2018 in overtime and again last year, prevailing by five points. I still think the Chiefs have too many weapons for the run-heavy Ravens to keep up. Prediction: Loss

Week 4: at Washington

The Redskins have a new coach in Ron Rivera and are still trying to work in a new quarterback in Dwayne Haskins. The Ravens have the talent edge on both sides of the ball. Prediction: Win

Week 5: vs Cincinnati

The Ravens will have plenty of defense lined up to greet Joe Burrow. The BEngals did boost their front seven on defense, but Baltimore still has the talent edge here. Prediction: Win

Week 6: at Philadelphia

Did you know that the Ravens have never won a road game against the Eagles? Even though Philadelphia added speed at wide receiver, though, their defense won’t be able to keep up with the Baltimore attack. Prediction: Win

Week 7: vs Pittsburgh

The Steelers added Alex Highsmith at defensive end and bring in rookie Chase Claypool, and the odds are in favor of Ben Roethlisberger leading the Steeler offense. However, it’s unclear how much speed and zip he will have — and the Ravens have the speed to get through Pittsburgh’s D. Prediction: Win

Week 8: Bye

Week 9: at Indianapolis

The Ravens will get to tee off on Phillip Rivers, who will likely be regretting moving across the country only to throw backbreaking interceptions in a new division. Prediction: Win

Week 10: at New England

The Ravens ran roughshod over a Patriots team with Tom Brady last year, and now New England will have a second-year signal-caller leading things. The Ravens should be able to find room to operate against the New England defense when the three-and-outs on offense for the Pats take their toll. Prediction: Win

Week 11: vs Tennessee

Baltimore added Calais Campbell and Derek Wolfe to bolster their defensive line, after they got demolished up the middle by Derrick Henry. You know the Ravens already have circled this rematch on their calendar. Prediction: Win

Week 12: at Pittsburgh

This is a Thanksgiving matchup, which means the Pittsburgh fans will be even more raucous than usual. Baltimore has won three in a row against the Steel Curtain, and even with the return of Roethlisberger, I’m not sure why Pittsburgh’s defense will be able to slow the Ravens down enough. Prediction: Win

Week 13: vs Dallas

The Cowboys should have Dak Prescott at quarterback, but did you know that the Cowboys have beaten Baltimore just once in five tries? Baltimore’s defense is a lot better than the bargain bin that was left in Dallas once their free agents left. Dallas’ offense has plenty of weapons, but that Ravens pass rush… Prediction: Win

Week 14: at Cleveland

A Monday Night Football smackdown awaits the Ravens in Cleveland, and if the Browns’ offense has taken off like it should, this could be one of the great prime-time games of the season. I see the Browns having picked up some seasoning on the way and giving the Ravens a message. Prediction: Loss

Week 15: vs Jacksonville

How will the Ravens respond to the frustration of losing in Cleveland? By treating Gardner Minshew like a pinata. Prediction: Win

Week 16: vs N.Y. Giants

At this point, the Ravens might still need to keep winning for a playoff bye, against a Giants team that is definitely in rebuilding mode. Prediction: Win

Week 17: at Cincinnati

I see the Ravens leaving their starters on the bench, a division title and first-round bye firmly clinched. Joe Burrow has a breakthrough day and leads the Bengals to a thrilling win. Prediction: Loss

Season Record Prediction: 13-3
