NFL Betting Odds and Bears vs Packers Game Preview
Date: Thursday, November 26 Time: 8:30pm Venue: Lambeau Field Watch Online Here When the season began, many people had the Green Bay Packers (7-3) penciled in as a likely Super Bowl winner, but things are proving to be a little tougher than expected for the Cheese Heads. The Packers are tied for the lead in the NFC North with the Minnesota Vikings, but they haven’t looked particularly great in getting there. Aaron Rodgers is having a bit of a down year compared to the lofty standards he has set in previous seasons, but there are legitimate reasons for the decline. He has been battling a number of injuries all season long, and is also without one of his favorite receivers, Jordy Nelson, who went down for the year in preseason. The defense is doing all it can to help, though, and their 19.8 PPG against has them in the top 10. The Packers were able to snap a 3-game losing skid last Sunday with a dominating win over the Vikings, which is something they will be looking to build on heading into the short week. Fans of the Chicago Bears (4-6) are likely to remain divided in their support of QB Jay Cutler until he is no longer there, but they did get a little taste of what life might be like without him. The Bears started 0-3 this season, but it was Jimmy Clausen who was the man under center for 2 of those losses. The Bears are 4-3 since Cutler returned, but it could have been a whole lot better if the defense had held up their end of the bargain. A pair of those losses via field goals kicked with time running out, which is not exactly something that can be dumped on the embattled Cutler. The chances of Chicago making the playoffs this season don’t look good when you consider that they are 0-3 in division games, and just 1-5 in conference play.
