NFL Betting News: 2020 Week 2 Parlay Picks

Written by on September 16, 2020

Now that the NFL is back up and running, it’s time to take a look at one of the most exciting ways to bet — the parlay. This involves putting down money on a combination of two or more bets. Your risk goes way up — but so does the payout, so if you feel like you have the right take on a couple of games or props, then it’s worth taking the sports betting chance. We have three parlay picks for you to consider for the coming week so you can bet on their NFL betting odds.

Week 2 Parlay Picks for The 2020 NFL Season

Thursday, September 17, 2020 – Prime Time Parlay in Ohio

Cincinnati (+5.5) at Cleveland (O/U 43.5) (8:20 pm ET, NFL Network)

Two of the exciting young quarterbacks in the NFL take the field on Thursday night as Joe Burrow leads the Cincinnati Bengals against Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns.

In Week 1, the Browns had the unenviable task of facing the Baltimore Ravens in the Ravens’ first action since losing the divisional playoff at home against the Titans. The Ravens had a chip on their shoulder the size of the Chesapeake Bay, so any team would likely have been blown out. However, Mayfield threw an interception on the first drive, and the Browns could only muster six points. The Bengals don’t have the same talent on defense, but they had plenty of energy against the Chargers in their opener, and they almost pulled off a win in Burrow’s rookie debut.

I see Thursday night turning into a bit of a shootout, as the Browns have injuries in their secondary, and the Bengals have questions all over their defense. I think this game could come down to the last drive, as well. I think Cleveland pulls it out, but not by six points or more.

Parlay: Cincinnati to cover, point total over 43.5

Sunday, September 20 – Brunch Blowout & Afternoon Delights

Minnesota (+3) at Indianapolis (O/U 48.5) (FOX)

The books view this as an even match, with the Colts just getting the three points for hosting the game. The Vikings have a much better defense than the 43 points they gave up against the Packers in Week 1. This week, they face a Colts team that is now led by Philip Rivers. The Vikings should be able to take advantage of Rivers and the Colts’ offense. The Colts’ defense is better than Green Bay’s, so the Vikings won’t be able to hang 34 points either. Even so, the Vikings have better talent on both sides of the ball — and their tailback didn’t go down for the season.

Buffalo (-5.5) at Miami (O/U 41) (CBS)

Miami scored 11 points in their opening loss to New England, while Buffalo scored 27 points in their opening win over the Jets. That totals 38…three points below this point total. We know that Buffalo has an outstanding defense, and the Dolphins were able to keep the Patriots largely in check, only giving up 21 points. I think that this gets close to the point total, as Josh Allen and Ryan Fitzpatrick both up their completion percentages. However, the Bills’ defense should be able to get stops, and Buffalo’s addition of Stefon Diggs should open up some deep plays.

Parlay: Buffalo to win and cover, Minnesota to cover

Washington (+6.5) at Arizona (O/U 47.5) (FOX)

The Redskins were able to pull off an impressive comeback against Philadelphia, as Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz melted down, starting just before halftime. The Arizona Cardinals pulled off a huge win in San Francisco, scoring a touchdown in the fourth quarter and holding on for the win. Arizona’s win came over a significantly tougher opponent — and the Cardinals’ offense looked much more dynamic.

Baltimore (-7) at Houston (51.5) (CBS)

The Ravens demolished Cleveland in Week 1, while Houston did not put up much resistance against Kansas City. There is not much to suggest that the Texans will fare much better against the Baltimore defense. The Ravens were a dominant team in 2020 on offense — the top unit in the NFL — in 2019. That seven-point line could be covered by halftime.

Parlay: Arizona to win and cover, Baltimore to win and cover
