Let’s face it – while Josh Allen is a transcendental talent at quarterback, turnovers are a problem. He accounts for a ton of offense for the Buffalo Bills, both with his cannon arm and his tough running, but he leads the league in turnovers for the time period starting with his rookie campaign and running through 2023. This season, he has 33 total touchdowns, the most in the NFL. He is near the top of the NFL in passing yardage (3,214) and pass completion rate (68.1%). However, he has also turned the ball over 16 times – also near the top of the NFL. To be fair, quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa have 14 turnovers each, but those crucial errors add up. This week, Bills vs Chiefs in what should be a possible AFC Championship preview, but the Bills (6-6) would miss the playoffs if the regular season ended today. Can they bounce back? Why should you bet on the Buffalo Bills?
Since the bye week, the Kansas City Chiefs have dropped two of three. They led the Philadelphia Eagles, 17-7, but coughed up that lead and lost, 21-17. They went to Las Vegas and fell behind the Raiders, 14-0, before waking up to get the 31-17 win. They went to Lambeau Field on Sunday night and sleepwalked through much of the game, losing, 27-19, despite a ferocious running effort from Isiah Pacheco. The running game has been an issue for much of the season, so the more work Pacheco can contribute, the more balance the Kansas City offense will have. He ran 18 times for 110 yards and a score against the Packers, a promising sign.
Buffalo’s offense has clicked, putting up 27.3 points per game, including a 34-point performance in their last game against the Philadelphia Eagles. They actually led the Eagles, 24-7, going into the fourth quarter, but a late collapse – followed by a fierce comeback – led to overtime, but a Buffalo field goal in the extra frame was answered by a Philadelphia touchdown. The defense needs to be consistent for four quarters, just one of many issues that have plagued the Bills. Buffalo did have their bye week to prepare for this matchup.

Why should you put your money on the Kansas City Chiefs?
The Bills have been even less consistent than the Chiefs. Going into their bye week, the Bills had dropped three of four, including an ugly home loss to Denver. The loss at Cincinnati (by six) and at Philadelphia (by three in overtime) showed breakdowns on defense as well as crunch-time offense. The Chiefs should be able to take advantage of poor coverage in the secondary as long as they can stay in front of the chains.
The Chiefs have bounced back well after setbacks – in fact, they have an 11-game winning streak in games coming after a loss. In December, they have been more of a lockdown team at home; against the spread, they are 7-1 in their last eight home contests in the last month of the year. They have also scored the first touchdown in nine straight Sunday home games.

Bills vs Chiefs Final Score and Prediction
The Bills come in with the advantage of a week of rest, but they also have the distraction of Von Miller playing despite facing charges of assaulting a pregnant woman in Texas. There also seems to be a bad buzz on offense as Stefon Diggs has looked dissatisfied in some sideline conversations during recent games. We have two AFC contenders in some real trouble as far as getting through to a possible Super Bowl, and I like the Bills to leverage that extra week of rest into more consistent play. I predict a final score of Buffalo 31, Kansas City 27.
