NFL Betting Odds and Game Preview: Eagles vs Lions
Date: Thursday, November 26 Time: 12:30pm Venue: Ford Field Watch Online Here It has not been a very good year for the Detroit Lions (3-7), but they have been putting things together over the past couple of weeks. The problem for Detroit right now is that they pretty much have to be perfect the rest of the way if they hope to be in the postseason. A big part of the reason for the demise of the Lions this season has been the drop off in the numbers delivered by the Stafford to Johnson numbers. Hard as it may be to believe, Calvin Johnson has only gone over the 100 yard receiving mark once this season, which just happened to come in their first win of the season, with Megatron putting up 188 yards of offense in a 37-34 OT win over the Chicago Bears. It’s not fair to lay all the blame there, though, as the Lions are dead last in rushing, and have a defense that is giving up an average of 27.4 PPG.Being unable to establish the run game has allowed opponents to focus much of their attention on shutting down Johnson, which they have done to great effect. The Lions are coming into this one with back to back wins under their belts, and have a remaining schedule that looks pretty favorable.
