Will Levis, the Tennessee Titans’ second-round draft choice out of Kentucky, will make his first NFL start on Sunday as the Titans prepare to welcome the Atlanta Falcons. Levis came into the 2023 season as the third quarterback on the depth chart, but with Ryan Tannehill (ankle) likely to miss the game, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said that both Levis and Malik Willis would see time at quarterback, but that Levis would be the primary signal-caller. Willis took over for Tannehill who injured his ankle two weeks ago in London, but he ended up taking four sacks in 14 snaps. Levis inherits an offense that is only scoring 17.3 points and gaining 283.5 yards per game. Read on for our NFL betting preview of this showdown between two rebuilding offenses Falcons vs Titans.

Why should you bet on the Falcons?
The Falcons crept out of Raymond James Stadium last week with a hard-fought 16-13 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Desmond Ridder has a 6:6 TD:INT ratio as he continues to struggle with ball security. Tailback Bijan Robinson only had one carry as he apparently suffered from an illness that didn’t make the NFL’s injury report. Tyler Allgeier picked up some of the slack and now has 301 rushing yards on the season, but only two scores. Drake London is the team’s top receiver with 32 catches for 383 yards and a pair of scores, while Jonnu Smith (309 receiving yards) and tight end Kyle Pitts (298 receiving yards) have also chipped in.
The Falcons have lost seven straight road games coming after a win. In this case, the spread opened at Tennessee -1, but the news that Levis would get the start has caused the line to move considerably in a short amount of time. That instability on offense could help the Falcons out, and they could use it – in eight of their last 10 games against sub-.500 teams, Atlanta has lost the first quarter.

Why should you put your money on the Titans?
The Titans have taken two tough losses in a row, losing in Indianapolis and then to Baltimore in London in one-score finals. They come out of the bye week to face the Falcons. Ryan Tannehill may have been headed to the bench even without that ankle injury, thanks to his 2:6 TD:INT ratio. Derrick Henry has run well this season, picking up 425 yards and three touchdowns. DeAndre Hopkins is the top receiver with 27 catches for 376 yards, and having Hopkins as a choice could make Sunday a bit easier for Will Levis.
Nissan Stadium has been a friendly place for the Titans, who have scored the first touchdown in eight of their last 10 home games on Sundays. In October, home cooking has tasted even better as the team is 7-1 ATS in their last eight home games in the month leading up to Halloween. Derrick Henry has found the end zone in four straight home games; after a loss, he has posted at last 95 all-purpose yards in eight straight games coming after a loss. The defense hasn’t been helpful with takeaways, as the Titans’ two interceptions rank dead last in the NFL this year.

Falcons vs Titans Final Score and Prediction
It’s hard to win in your NFL debut, but Will Levis has had some time to learn the Tennessee offense, and he has Derrick Henry pounding the ball on the ground. The Titans’ defense has not been as successful in stopping the opposition as it has been in years past, and if the Falcons can establish the running game, they should be able to govern the rhythm and keep Desmond Ridder from having to do too much in the passing game. I predict a final score of Atlanta 23, Tennessee 13.
