Previous to the NFL Week 10, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a strong 4-2 start but are now just 4-5 after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs, 30-24, in overtime on Monday.
They were able to turn a 4-7 start into a 9-8 finish and an NFC South crown last year, but the rest of their division was weak. This time around, the Atlanta Falcons are sitting at 6-3.
Mike Evans is supposed to come back after the team’s Week 11 bye, and they only have one more opponent with a winning record, but if the Buccaneers are going to fix this thing, they need to start now.
They now have two prime-time overtime losses in which their offense never got to touch the ball. It didn’t help that Josh Hayes, starting in his first NFL game, kept finding himself guarding new Kansas City wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
Hayes had to start in place of Jamel Dean (hamstring), and Hopkins took full advantage. As we head to Week 10, don’t miss our top sports betting picks from around the league.

NFL Week 10: Top Games with Odds & Expert Analysis
N.Y. Giants (-5) vs Carolina Panthers
When:Sunday, November 10, 9:30 am ET, in Munich, Germany
NFL totals Week 10: O/U 41.5
Is Bryce Young the franchise quarterback for Carolina? Their win on Sunday might have bought him some more time. Is Daniel Jones the franchise quarterback for New York? Probably not, but it’s hard to find many tougher competitors. The Panthers don’t bring as much pass rush as some of their peers, which should give Jones enough time to sit in the pocket and work through his progressions instead of rushing poor decisions. The Giants have a ferocious pass rush – it’s their decision-making on fourth downs and other key situations that have fans frustrated. The Panthers are the sort of team that the Giants should be able to manage.
NFL Pick: Giants to win and cover.
^Pittsburgh Steelers (+3) at Washington Commanders
When:Sunday, November 10, 1:00 pm ET, CBS
NFL totals Week 10: O/U 45.5
We will have an expanded article on this game later in the week, but it’s a shame this isn’t a prime-time showdown. Washington has exploded into one of the top teams in the NFC in head coach Dan Quinn’s first season at the helm. The Commanders’ O-line is committed to opening holes for the running game and can protect Jayden Daniels. When Daniels does get into trouble, he has the speed to cause problems of his own in the running game. Also, Washington’s defense has shown it can shut down opponents in the running game, which has been a key part of Pittsburgh’s success so far.
NFL Pick: Commanders to win and cover.
^San Francisco 49ers (-5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
When:Sunday, November 10, 1:00 pm ET, FOX
NFL totals Week 10: O/U 51
The 49ers come out of the bye week hoping to have Christian McCaffrey and Jauan Jennings back on the field. McCaffrey returned to practice on Monday, and those two contributors can make the passing game sizzle with George Kittle and Deebo Samuel. The Buccaneers have a secondary that Brock Purdy can beat. Baker Mayfield might be the toughest competitor among the 32 NFL quarterbacks, but without Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, the gimmicks that Tampa Bay pulled off against the Chiefs on Monday night won’t fool a team that got to watch those gimmicks on the game film.
^Buffalo Bills (-4) at Indianapolis Colts
When:Sunday, November 10, 1:00 pm ET, CBS
NFL totals Week 10: O/U 46
The Bills have the running game to wear down the Colts with their tailback tandem of Ray Davis and James Cook, along with the solid scrambling game of Josh Allen. One problem the Indy defense has right now is their secondary on deeper plays, and Allen has the sort of cannon arm to cause major problems. The Colts do have a healthy Jonathan Taylor running the ball, but the Bills have the front seven to force second- and third-and-long situations, which will allow them to get after Joe Flacco, who just couldn’t get things done on Sunday night and is starting to look his age.
NFL Pick: Bills to win and cover.
^Minnesota Vikings (-4) at Jacksonville Jaguars
When:Sunday, November 10, 1:00 pm ET, FOX
NFL totals Week 10: O/U 47.5
The Vikings ended their two-game skid with a win over Indianapolis that wasn’t particularly convincing, but was emphatic enough by the time things came to an end. The Vikings have the pass rush to harass Trevor Lawrence, and their front seven should be able to bottle up the running game. Sam Darnold should also have plenty of open receivers down the field, as the Jaguars’ secondary is still figuring out its cover schemes, as we saw in their tough loss to Philadelphia last week.
NFL Pick: Vikings to win and cover.
^Atlanta Falcons (-3.5) at New Orleans Saints
When:Sunday, November 10, 1:00 pm ET, FOX
NFL totals Week 10: O/U 46.5
The Saints lost in Week 9 at Carolina by a point and sent longtime coach Dennis Allen to the unemployment line. Darren Rizzi is the interim head coach, and moving to the interim usually leads to a week or two of inspired play from the team. Alvin Kamara ran all over Carolina last week, and Derek Carr looked solid in his return at quarterback, but the defense didn’t get the right stops. The Falcons looked intermittently dominant in their win over Dallas, but allowing that fourth-quarter touchdown made the game way too close.
NFL Pick: Falcons to win and cover.
^Tennessee Titans (+7.5) at L.A. Chargers
When:Sunday, November 10, 4:05 pm ET, FOX
NFL totals Week 10: O/U 38
The Chargers have shown that they can move the ball on the ground and control the line of scrimmage on both offense and defense. The Titans were able to edge New England in overtime, but that doesn’t mean their offense is ready for the next level. The Chargers should be able to shut down Mason Rudolph, who has a habit of pushing the ball into windows that are too tight and getting intercepted, and both quarterback Justin Herbert and tailback J.K. Dobbins are at full strength.
NFL Pick: Chargers to win and cover.
^Philadelphia Eagles (-7.5) at Dallas Cowboys
When:Sunday, November 10, 4:25 pm ET, CBS
NFL totals Week 10: O/U 42
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (hamstring) looks to be headed to IR, and CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) will at least be very sore after the Atlanta loss. Philadelphia may not have tight end Dallas Goedert (hamstring) and wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee). Cowboys backup quarterback Cooper Rush is 5-1 in his career as a starter, but his available tailback crew is less than impressive. The Eagles have Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley on offense – and the Eagles likely would have covered this spread even if Prescott were healthy. Get your money in on the Eagles before this spread gets to double digits.
NFL Pick: Eagles to win and cover.
^MNF Miami Dolphins (+2.5) at L.A. Rams
When:Monday, November 11, 8:15 pm ET, ESPN
NFL totals Week 10: O/U 51
Now that Tua Tagovailoa is back at quarterback, the Dolphins’ passing game is dangerous again with Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill, but with De’Von Achane, Miami can also run the ball, which means the team won’t be relying on Tua to do everything for them. That’s good, because the Rams have a tough pass rush. Miami will have similar challenges on defense, because the Rams also have a dynamic duo of wide receivers in Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp – and a running back who can dominate in Kyren Williams. This should be a high-octane game, but I see the Rams taking the win at home.
NFL Pick: Rams to win and cover – and take the over.
