For Carr, Hurts needs to return to 100% so he can lead a deep playoff run. He said, “Clearly, Jalen isn’t comfortable reading through a defense in a drop-back pass scenario,” and given the way the Eagles folded at home against San Francisco last week, it’s an interesting suggestion. It’s hard to say that Mariota would be able to lead the Eagles to a division title, though, as Philadelphia is just a game ahead of Dallas. On defense, the Eagles skew toward the generous side in the passing game, allowing 350.6 yards per game, but overall they have bent but not broken, permitting just 24 points per game. Haason Reddick has 9 ½ sacks, and Reed Blankenship is the top tackler with 24. As the road underdog, though, the Eagles have a six-game losing streak against the spread in divisional contests. However, they have traditionally had Dallas’ number, particularly in the early going, scoring the first touchdown in seven of their last eight games against their NFC EAst rivals.

On the ground, Tony Pollard is the top ball carrier with 737 yards and five scores. On offense at home, the Cowboys are scoring 41 points per game and have a 5-0 record.
On defense, the Cowboys permit just 18.3 points per game. Micah Parsons is having another elite season with 11 ½ sacks, and DaRon Bland has eight interceptions, including an NFL-record six pick-sixes. The Cowboys have a 14-game regular-season winning streak at home and have an eight-game winning streak against the spread in home games against conference foes, and they have scored the first touchdown in eight straight Sunday games at home.
