It sounds like new Dallas coach Mike McCarthy has already lost the locker room, as Cowboys players are anonymously going to the press and telling them that McCarthy and his assistants don’t know what they’re doing. If you watch the way the defense has performed the first six weeks, you see that the players might be right, as the scheme has failed. With injuries up and down the O-line and with Dak Prescott out, the Cowboys could have a dreadful season — and we could see a five- or six-win team win the NFC East. In Chicago, Nick Foles has something cooking on offense as the Bears are now 5-1. In Cincinnati, Bengals fans are waiting for a matchup with Cleveland that actually pits two promising teams against one another for once.

NFL News: Rundown Going into Week 7
Tua Tagovailoa will now start at quarterback for the Miami Dolphins. He appeared in Miami’s blowout win over the Jets, going 2 of 2 for nine yards. After the game, he came back onto the field to FaceTime his parents and talk to them about all of the adversity that he has come through since that gruesome hip injury in November 2019 that ended his career at the University of Alabama. He will start on November 1 against the Rams, definitely a trial by fire. He replaces Ryan Fitzpatrick, who was having the best season of his career statistically. He had posted a combined QBR of 79.6, seventh-best in the NFL — but Tua is the future in Miami, and even though the Dolphins were rolling with Fitzmagic, it looks like management is willing to sacrifice a contending season for developing for the future.
Le’Veon Bell got his wish — and the New York Jets released him. It didn’t take long for the Kansas City Chiefs to snap him up, where he joins rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the backfield. The Chiefs already had crazy offense, thanks to Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins and Travis Kelce, and Bell will just be expected to contribute, instead of being expected to lead the offense. In an interview with ESPN.com, Bell said that he looks at this as a chance to “reinvent” himself, after two subpar years in New York. Opponents of the Chiefs now have just one more reason to worry about the Chiefs attack.
It’s been feast or famine with the Cleveland Browns so far this season. They’ve had some dizzying highs, such as their shellacking of the Cowboys down in Dallas. They’ve also had some humbling lows, such as ugly losses in Baltimore and Pittsburgh. Baker Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr have both been frustrated. Mayfield said in a press conference that being 4-2, after the loss in Pittsburgh, feels like being 0-6, because of the high expectations the Browns have placed on themselves. Beckham was pulled in the fourth quarter against Pittsburgh and looked extremely frustrated, pacing the sideline. The Browns lost to the Ravens and the Steelers by a combined score of 76-13. The good news for Browns fans is that no team in the NFL has an easier schedule down the stretch than Cleveland does. Next up is a trip to Cincinnati.
Will Michael Thomas return to the field for the New Orleans Saints? He went down with a high ankle sprain in Week 1. It looked like he might return for Week 5, but he got in a fight in practice and punched teammate C.J. Gardner-Johnson, and he was suspended for a game. They come out of the bye for Week 7, so Thomas looks like he should be ready to go, but head coach Sean Payton has remained mum on Thomas’ status. Given the Saints’ up-and-down start to 2020, expect to see Thomas on the field as long as his ankle is ready.
