We’re at the quarter-pole of the 2020 regular season in the NFL, and there are already some interesting trends to note. The Dallas Cowboys are permitting 36.5 points per game, the worst over four games in franchise history, dating back to 1960. The Kansas City Chiefs became the first team ever to start four consecutive seasons with a 4-0 record. The Cleveland Browns are 3-1 for the first time since 2001 and scored more first-half points (31) in Week 4 than they had in a first half since 1991. Joe Burrow picked up his first win as a starting quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals. What can we expect to see in Week 5?

The Buccaneers have gotten a lift out of the arrival of Tom Brady, as the O-line has protected him and given him time to throw the ball down the field. Chicago is 3-1 but looked dreadful in their Week 4 loss, as the Bears still have not figured out how to solve their offensive woes.

The Falcons are 0-4 — and after an iffy 0-2 start, the Panthers are now 2-2, as new head coach Matt Rhule’s system seems to be working out. Atlanta’s wideout Julio Jones is questionable with a hamstring. Can Teddy Bridgewater pull off a road upset? We say yes.

Josh Allen is fitting balls into tight windows that he was not hitting last year, making the Bills scary on both sides of the ball. The Titans also have a high-powered offense, but the Bills’ defense is better.

After looking terrific against New Orleans in Week 2, the Raiders have slid back into their bad habits about making too many mistakes. The Chiefs got off to another slow start against New England but were able to impose their will in the second half.

The Cardinals looked great in Weeks 1 and 2 but have fallen off the table since. The Jets, though, are a great team for restoring your confidence.

The Steelers come out of their COVID-19-shifted bye week to take on a Philadelphia team that toughed out a win in San Francisco last week. The Steelers don’t have a bunch of starters on IR, though, like the 49ers did, and the Steeler defense should have its way against an injury-ravaged Eagle O-line.

Washington plays hard for Ron Rivera, but they don’t have the talent to hang with the Rams right now.

Joe Burrow vs Lamar Jackson will be an interesting show to watch. However, Baltimore has too many offensive weapons to drop this game at home.

The Texans just fired head coach/GM Bill O’Brien. Jacksonville beat Indianapolis in Week 1 but hasn’t won since. One of these teams has to win, so I’m going with the Texans, motivated after the firing of O’Brien (and with a much better quarterback in Deshaun Watson).

The Dolphins announced that Ryan Fitzpatrick would start at quarterback once again. If the Dolphins struggle again on offense, though, don’t be surprised to see Tua come on.

The Browns have the better offense, while the Colts have the better defense. But that Browns running game should wear down the Colts.

If the Cowboys don’t win this game, Mike McCarthy should have to box up his office on the way out of the stadium.
