Super Bowl LIII Odds for Each Team

Super Bowl LIII Odds for Each Team

Written by on January 31, 2018

Despite the fact that we’re still a few days away from Super Bowl LII, with New England set to take on Philadelphia, you can already lay down NFL betting futures wagers on the winner of next year’s Super Bowl. We know that Super Bowl LIII will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, but all 32 teams still have a shot to contend there. Obviously, this is a long way off — but take a look at each team’s Super Bowl LIII odds to make it to the NFL’s promised land.

Super Bowl LIII Odds for Each Team

New England (+500)

And why not? Forget about the Steelers of the 70s and the Cowboys of the 90s — this is a team that has dominated the National Football League for 18 years now. It looked like Pittsburgh had them on the ropes late in the regular season, and it looked like Jacksonville was going to knock them out in a thrilling AFC Championship, but the Patriots with Tom Brady have developed a reputation for always coming back, always getting the win in the clutch. With Brady set to return (at the age of 41 next season), they’re still the team to beat.

Pittsburgh (+1000)

Ben Roethlisberger looked terrific this season, and his offense also has tailback Le’Von Bell and wideout Antonio Brown. But that defense — oh, that defense. They scored 42 points against Jacksonville in the divisional round — but still couldn’t knock them out.

Minnesota, Green Bay, Philadelphia (+1200)

Green Bay would have made the playoffs had they not lost quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a broken collarbone. He should return healthy in the fall of 2018. A slightly more complex question is the recovery of Carson Wentz, who revealed that, in addition to rupturing his ACL in Week 14, he also ruptured his LCL. Yes, the recovery will take place at the same time, but that’s two of the three primary ligaments in his knee. In Minnesota, who will the quarterback be — Teddy Bridgewater, Case Keenum or Sam Bradford?

Jacksonville (+1800)

This team won the AFC South. But if Deshaun Watson comes back and leads the Houston Texans to the same heights they were headed to when he blew out his ACL, will the Jaguars even make the playoffs? Tennessee hopes to have a healthy Marcus Mariota all season long. And when will the Colts start playing defense?

L.A. Rams, Houston, New Orleans, San Francisco, Atlanta, Dallas (+2000)

Jared Goff looked terrific for the Rams in his second season — and how the team has some playoff seasoning. Deshaun Watson impressed big-time in his rookie season — what can he do with a full healthy campaign? Dallas has major turnover in their coaching staff, and Jerry Jones won’t spend for depth. So even if Dallas gets off to a good start, don’t expect much from their defense. San Francisco is the potential sleeper here, with Jimmy Garoppolo tearing things up.

Oakland, Kansas City (+3000)

With the Chiefs shipping Alex Smith to Washington in a trade, it’s the Pat Mahomes II era now. Where will he take this team? He has Kareem Hunt and Tyreek Hill around him on offense. But can they stop collapsing in clutch games? Will Oakland rise with new head coach Jon Gruden?

L.A. Chargers (+3500)

This team almost made the playoffs. But they almost went 3-13. Which Chargers will we see next year?

Indianapolis, Tampa Bay, Denver (+4000)

I like Tampa Bay the most out of this group. Jameis Winston still has room under his ceiling, and the Buccaneers have a stout defense.

Arizona, Tennessee, Detroit (+4500)

The Titans capture my interest the most here. Marcus Mariota needs an offseason to recharge, both mentally and physically.

Miami, Washington, N.Y. Giants (+6600)

Where can Alex Smith take the Redskins? Will Ryan Tannehill return and take his starting job back? Is Eli Manning done?

N.Y. Jets, Chicago, Cincinnati, Buffalo, Cleveland (+10000)

Not surprisingly, all of these teams have major questions at quarterback. But Buffalo has the best defense in the group…and Chicago beat the Steelers last year.
