Did you know that all six of the teams that will play on Thanksgiving Day lost in Week 11? Some of the losses (Dallas losing at Kansas City, New Orleans losing at Philadelphia, Detroit losing to anyone) were not particularly surprising, but Chicago losing to a Baltimore team missing Lamar Jackson and Buffalo getting blown at home by Indianapolis were definitely sports betting shockers.
Which teams can you count on to lose in NFL Week 12? Check out our predictions.
NFL News: Sure Losers in Week 12
Chicago Bears (-3.5) at Detroit Lions
Thursday, November 25 | 12:30 pm ET
Chicago will most likely start Andy Dalton at quarterback against Detroit as Justin Fields will still be rehabbing his ribs. Detroit is likely to start Tim Boyle ahead of Jared Goff, as Goff is out with an oblique injury. Detroit has moved to a run-first, pound-the-ball approach the last two weeks, and that has led to some unsightly games against the Steelers and Browns, a tie and a loss. Chicago has more than enough offense to win this game even with Dalton running the offense, and the Bears hae won two in a row at Ford Field on Thanksgiving. So with Boyle at the helm, I am picking the Lions to lose.

Tennessee Titans (+5.5) at New England Patriots
Sunday, November 28 | 1:00 pm ET
The next New England juggernaut appears to be upon us, as the special teams and defense are setting the offense up with short fields, and the running game allows rookie Mac Jones to drive the bus — and also hit strikes downfield. The Patriots get a visit from the 8-3 Tennessee Titans, but the Titans cannot run the ball without Derrick Henry, and Bill Belichick knows how to defend against Ryan Tannehill from Tannehill’s days wit the Miami Dolphins.

Philadelphia Eagles (-3.5) at N.Y. Giants
Sunday, November 28 | 1:00 pm ET
The Giants took a beating at home on Monday night from Tampa Bay. Philadelphia has figured out how to have Jalen Hurts lead a run-heavy offense, especially given the limited choices he has at wide receiver. Yes, the Giants have Saquon Barkley back, but they also have Daniel Jones to turn the ball over at key times.

Pittsburgh Steelers (+3.5) at Cincinnati Bengals
Sunday, November 28 | 1:00 pm ET
The Bengals already won big at Pittsburgh, and this time around the Steelers have a number of injuries on defense to overcome, especially a Bengals team that can run the ball well with Joe Mixon and has J’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins running routes for Joe Burrow. The Bengals’ defense can have hiccups, but they have already shut down Big Ben once this season.

Cleveland Browns (+4) at Baltimore Ravens
Sunday, November 28 | 8:20 pm ET
Kareem Hunt should return for the Browns, so Cleveland will have their two-headed running attack back at last. The Browns’ defense has looked ugly since their big win in Cincinnati, but this is the time of year when, in 2020, Baker Mayfield found his stride. He is still fighting a non-throwing shoulder injury, though, and Lamar Jackson should return from having a week off due to illness in Week 11 and could be fresh. I see the Browns flipping their script and taking the game to Baltimore from the opening kickoff.

Seattle Seahawks (-1) at Washington Football Team
Monday, November 29 | 8:15 pm ET
The Seattle offense has terrific talent, with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett running routes for Russell Wilson. Their running game is a little thin, but at least on paper, they have the O-line to gain enough yards on the ground to loosen things up for the passing game. The defense has improved lately, but Seattle needs more offense. Washington is getting terrific play out of Taylor Heinicke leading drive after drive, and I see Pete Carroll’s frustration continuing here.
