As we head into the fourth weekend of the 2020 NFL regular season, we see that some teams are playing as expected — Kansas City and Buffalo lead the AFC West and AFC East, respectively — while some others have surprised observers — Pittsburgh leads the AFC North with a 3-0 record, and no team in the NFC East has a winning record, but the Washington Football Team is in a tie for first place, and the New Orleans Saints are just 1-2.
Let’s take a look at your top NFL betting picks going into the weekend.

Top Betting Picks for the Weekend
Seattle (-6.5) at Miami
Sunday, October 4
1:00 pm ET
The Seattle Seahawks have looked impressive in each of their first three games, rolling over Atlanta, New England and Dallas. Miami got off to a bit of a stumble, losing close games to New England and Buffalo. However, they walloped Jacksonville, 31-13, last Thursday and have had time to rest before welcoming Seattle to town this Sunday. Russell Wilson has thrown 14 touchdown passes in three games, including five against Dallas. Take a look at the latest injury reports to see the status of Chris Carson (knee), who remains questionable, as he keyed the running game with 64 yards against Dallas.
Miami kept close with New England until late in the game in Week 1, losing 21-11. They played Buffalo close at home, losing by three. They did look terrific against the Jaguars, as Ryan Fitpatrick threw for 160 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Tailback Myles Gaskin carried the ball 22 times for 66 yards. The Seahawks are 5-1-1 against the spread in their last seven games when favored. I do think that Seattle can win this game by at least a touchdown, given the terrific job their offense is doing and Miami’s lack of a sustained running game.

New England (+7) at Kansas City

The Patriots took their only loss of the season at Seattle, winning home games over Miami and Las Vegas. However, the Pats have won six of nine on the road. Cam Newton has completed 68.1 percent of his passes, with two touchdowns — and two picks. Julian Edelman and N’Keal Harry have caught 30 balls together for 404 yards. Sony Michel has run for 173 yards in three games, scoring once.
The Chiefs have won five in a row at home, as Patrick Mahomes has thrown nine touchdown passes without a pick to start 2020. In five of his last six games, Mahomes has thrown at least two touchdown passes. Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce have caught five of his nine touchdown passes. Clyde Edwards-Helaire has run for 240 yards in three games, scoring once. Anthony Hitchens leads the team with 21 tackles. Interestingly, the road team and the underdog have covered in four straight meetings between these two teams. Can the Patriots make it five? I’m not sure they can.

Buffalo (-3) at Las Vegas
Sunday, October 4

Josh Allen has gotten off to a terrific start this season, throwing for 1,038 yards in three games, with 10 touchdown passes against just a single pick. Devin Singletary leads the bills with 157 rushing yards. Stefon Diggs is already contributing with 288 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. John Brown has also caught two touchdown passes. Jordan Poyer leads the defense with 26 total tackles, including 18 that are solo.
The Raiders will come in with a 2-1 record. Derek Carr has thrown for six touchdowns and 784 yards. Josh Jacobs has picked up 252 yards on the ground, scoring three touchdowns. Darren Waller is the top receiver with 20 receptions on 28 targets, picking up 159 yards. Nicholas Morrow is tops on the defense with 21 total tackles, 17 solo, and he also has an interception. Buffalo is 7-2-2 against the spread in their last 11 games away from Orchard Park and is 5-2-1 against the spread when playing teams with a winning record. New England showed other teams how to slow Carr down — doubling the closest man to him — and I expect Buffalo to follow suit.
