We’re getting closer and closer to the end of the 2020 regular season in the National Football League, but there’s still a lot of action to go, and a lot of movement in the divisions. The Seattle Seahawks have moved into first place in the NFC West, but they could still miss the playoffs if they get passed by the L.A. Rams and the Arizona Cardinals. The Buffalo Bills lead the AFC East, but they’re just a game ahead of the Miami Dolphins, even though the Dolphins don’t have their starting quarterback.
After a topsy-turvy Week 12, let’s look at the latest odds to win the Super Bowl for each team.

If you saw the Kansas City Chiefs move the ball at will in the first half against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, then you understand why they’re the favorite here. They did the same thing in Las Vegas; when the chips were down, they were able to get down the field and get points. Their defense occasionally has lapses, but as San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said once, after his team lost to an underdog, “The other guys are making millions of dollars too.” The parity in the NFL is real, perhaps more real than in any other pro sports league, but if you need to move 80 yards and score a touchdown, you would be crazy to have any other offense than the Kansas City unit take the ball.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will have quietly gone a week and a half without a football game. They were scheduled to play Baltimore on Thanksgiving night, but that game keeps getting pushed back because of COVID-19 in the Ravens’ locker room. It was going to be Sunday, then Tuesday — and now Wednesday. For a team that has had virtually no COVID-19 issues of its own, the Steelers have had more significant schedule changes as a result than any other team. Now it’s affected their next game as well, as they would play Washington a week from Monday, in the early evening, assuming the Ravens game can go as scheduled. It’s hard to see any team responding better to this adversity than the Steelers have, under the steady leadership of Mike Tomlin.
Speaking of bizarre scenes, how about the New Orleans Saints putting up 31 points on Denver in a game in which their quarterback, Taysom Hill, went 9 of 16 for 78 yards? The Saints basically decided to run the ball all day long, since Denver didn’t have a quarterback on their roster as of Saturday. They had to add Kendall Hinton from their practice squad after all of their other quarterbacks were ruled out due to COVID-19 exposure. Hill did run for two touchdowns, making him just the sixth quarterback since 1950 to have more than one rushing touchdown in two straight weeks. That list includes: Cam Newton, Kordell Stewart, Eric Hipple, Johnny Lujack — and the venerable Otto Graham. The Saints had four rushing touchdowns in a game for the first time since a 2017 game when they ran for six scores against Buffalo. Next up for the Saints is a rematch with Atlanta — who demolished Las Vegas last week, 43-6.
