After serious letdowns in Week 9, the Buffalo Bills and the Dallas Cowboys bounced back with huge wins. It helped that the Bills got to play the Jets and the Cowboys got to play the Falcons, but the fact that the Cowboys set a franchise record for points scored in a quarter (29 in the second) on Sunday suggests that the offense has definitely worked out some kinks. The Kansas City Chiefs also looked elite for the first time this season, rolling to a 41-17 laugher in Las Vegas. Let’s take a look at how the week’s action altered the Super Bowl betting odds for each team to win the Super Bowl.

The top seed in each conference has an advantage — and that is the bye that takes that team past the divisional round. The Green Bay Packers have a great shot at it, as they have beaten Arizona, another two-loss team. Divisional matchups are also important, and the Pack still has four NFC North games. They face the Rams the Sunday after Thanksgiving, which could give them another important head-to-head result. Aaron Rodgers did not look rusty at all in his return from COVID-19, as the Packers demolished Seattle at home.
Right now, the Tennessee Titans would get the bye out of the AFC, and an interesting matchup they have left on their schedule is a trip to New England. The Patriots are on a roll right now, but they are just 2-4 at home. Derrick Henry is slated to return for a playoff run, so as long as the Titans can keep riding their defense, and as long as Ryan Tannehill can keep managing drives, the Titans are in a great spot — imagine a rested Henry coming in for a long playoff run.
The lingering injury to Kyler Murray has to be concerning for the Arizona Cardinals. They are still 8-2, but there is not as much room for error in the chase for the top seed as there is for Tennessee in the AFC. The sooner Murray and DeAndre Hopkins can return to the field, the fewer chances there will be for the sort of embarrassment that the Cardinals suffered at home against a previously struggling Carolina team last week.
The Dallas Cowboys lead the NFC East by almost four games and still have four divisional contests left, including both matchups with the Washington Football Team — who may be putting things together, as we saw in their win over Tampa Bay. The Cowboys are playing like contenders right now, though, and if they can stack up enough wins to stay at two or three losses, this is another team that could end up hosting all the conference playoff games. Dak Prescott looked hesitant in the loss to Denver last week (until the fourth quarter), but that had vanished by the time Atlanta showed up this week.
The beating that San Francisco dealt out to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night raised a lot of questions about a team that many had as a Super Bowl favorite ahead of the season. Matthew Stafford was bitten by the interception bug, including an early pick-six. The Rams have a solid pass defense, but when a team can line up and physically manhandle the Rams’ defense through the running game, they really do not have an answer yet. This is one reason why the 49ers have beaten the Rams five times in a row despite the fact that they are only 4-5 so far this season.
