Week 1 Preseason Games NFL Betting Fans Look Forward To

It is now less than 100 days until the start of the NFL betting season, but before the first official kick-off, we have some pre-season action to look forward to. Week 1 of the pre-season will run from August 13-17, and while we won’t see very much of the expected starters, there are still some interesting stories that might well play out during the first week. The whole thing will get started with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings playing in the annual Hall of Fame game. All eyes are sure to be on Adrian Peterson in this one, assuming that he is still in the glorious Viking purple by the time this game rolls around. It appears as though he is stuck between a rock and a hard place, as Minnesota seems determined to put their foot down and make him honor a contract that he wants out of. The Steelers had a particularly good draft, so it’s going to be fun to see how the likes of Sammie Coates and Bud Dupree do in their pro debuts. Another good game on the Week 1 schedule sees the Denver Broncos travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks. All is not well in either of these team camps, as the Broncos have blown up the team and coaching staff from last year, while Russell Wilson and the Seahawks are still seemingly far apart on a new contract. Wilson says that he is totally focused on football, but it’ll be interesting to see if it becomes a distraction if it continues to go undone. Jimmy Garoppolo The Green Bay Packers are among the favorites to be Super Bowl Champions this season, and they will start their preseason with a trip to New England to play the Patriots. All eyes will be on New England backup QB Jimmy Garoppolo, as he will need to take the reins when Tom Brady serves his deflategate suspension to start the season. There is cause for concern, as Garoppolo tossed 5 INT’s during a 2-minute drill in OTA’s this week. Another two teams who are considered to be SB suitors are the Philadelphia Eagles and the Indianapolis Colts. Andrew Luck will be looking to build on the spectacular year he had for the Colts last season, while the new look Eagles will simply be trying to use the preseason to gel. There are a lot of new faces in town, so they, more than most, are going to need to have a solid 4 weeks before the real games start.
