NFL Week 15 Odds, Overview & Predictions

Written by on December 14, 2021

Week 14 of the 2021 NFL regular season concluded with a bit of a surprise, as the Los Angeles Rams went down to Arizona and delivered a 30-23 win over the Cardinals, who fell out of the top spot in the NFC thanks to their loss to Green Bay. Here’s an interesting number for the Cardinals: 11. They have 11 turnovers in their six home games, but they have only committed two turnovers in their seven road games. Their home record is 3-3, while their road record is a perfect 7-0. What can we expect in Week 15? We’ve got some primo sports picks against the spread for you.

NFL News: Top Picks against the Spread for Week 15

Green Bay Packers (-5.5) at Baltimore Ravens (O/U 43.5)

Sunday, 4:25 pm ET, FOX

Somehow, Baltimore still leads the AFC North despite having lost to all of the other teams in that division once. They lost to Cleveland last week as Lamar Jackson went down in the second quarter, with Tyler Huntley coming on. Huntley did lead the Ravens in a comeback bid, but it’s unlikely that Green Bay would be as conservative as Cleveland was with a lead. A bigger problem for the Ravens is their defense, as Cleveland was able to put up 24 points in a hurry on Sunday. The Ravens’ secondary has undergone a number of key injuries; in their loss to Pittsburgh two weeks ago, they went for two at the end of regulation instead of kicking the extra point to go to overtime because they had no cornerbacks who could take the field. Between Aaron Jones pounding the ball and Aaron Rodgers throwing it, the Packers could make this a long day for the Ravens. Packers to win and cover.

Kansas City Chiefs (-3) at Los Angeles Chargers (50.5)

Thursday, 8:20 pm ET, FOX / NFL Network

Kansas City lost to the Chargers by six at Arrowhead back in Week 3, but they have really turned a corner since then. Winning the rematch would help Kansas City lock down another AFC West championship. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has been terrific throwing the ball down the field, but he won’t have tailback Austin Ekeler providing balance on a short week, whether he has to miss the game outright or is simply limited in what he can do. Patrick Mahomes has been terrific on the road this season and should lead the Chiefs to another big win – along with a Chiefs defense that has permitted 27 points combined in the last three games. Chiefs to win and cover.

Atlanta Falcons (-8.5) at San Francisco 49ers (46)

Sunday, 4:05 pm ET, CBS

Jimmy Garoppolo is coming back into his own with the 49er offense. Brandon Aiyuk has played a major part in this resurgence, as the rookie wide receiver has figured out the NFL game in a hurry. George Kittle and Deebo Samuel round out a trio of outstanding targets in the passing game, and the 49ers’ defense should be able to manage a Falcon running attack that features Mike Davis and Cordarrelle Patterson. The Falcons will put up a game effort for a while, but as we have seen so many times this season, that will wear down soon after halftime. 49ers to win and cover.

Houston Texans (+3) at Jacksonville Jaguars (41)

Sunday, 1:00 pm ET, CBS

Houston beat Jacksonville at home in Week 1, and this duo of slow offenses and iffy defenses will meet again in Florida. Jacksonville seems to have a dumpster fire going on in the locker room, with daily headlines about the potential firing of Urban Meyer, while Houston seems at least to have built some sort of cohesive effort around Davis Mills at quarterback. Texans to cover.
