Week 15 Football Odds Favors Packers over Bills

Every single team in the league has a least one weakness that other teams hope to expose when they meet. Even those teams that are bona fide Super Bowl contenders have an Achilles heel that has to be exposed every single Sunday. The Green Bay Packers may have exposed a couple of little weak spots along the way this season. Date/Time: Sunday, December 14, 1:00 PM Location: Ralph Wilson Stadium, Orchard Park, New York There is no denying that Aaron Rodgers and company have been an offensive juggernaut over the past few weeks of the season, reason why they are favored in the football odds week after week. People are quick to point out the gaudy numbers that the Packers offense has been putting up, but many are blind to the amount of points that the defense is giving up. The perfect example of that came on Monday night when the Packers almost gassed a 31-7 lead against the less than great Atlanta Falcons. They ended up holding on to win 43-37. This is also a team that isn’t too comfortable away from home, as they are just 3-3 on the road versus 7-0 at home. They are going to have to go on the road this weekend to face a Buffalo Bills team that needs some real help if they are to extend their season beyond Week 17. Inconsistency has been the biggest issue for the Bills all year, as they go from looking great one week to truly awful the next. It is only because they have had more good weeks than bad that they are still alive in the Wild Card race, but their pulse is very, very weak at the moment. They can take some solace in the fact that they put up a pretty good fight in a losing effort on the road to the Denver Broncos last weekend. BETTING ODDS While some may have been expecting a big line in favor of the Packers, their leaky defense and troubles on the road have them favored by 5. Green Bay is 7-5 ATS this season, but are just 2-4 ATS when heading out of town. The Bills are 7-6 ATS this year, but have performed well at home, and also possess a 2-1 ATS mark versus NFC North opponents. There have been no meetings between these two in the past three years, but if you go back to 1992, Buffalo is actually 3-0 SU and ATS in this match-up. Game Odds: PACKERS: -5-110, OV 50 ½ -110, ML -215 BILLS: +5-110, UN 50 ½ -110, ML +185 The Packers look as though their division is locked up, so there is no real pressure here. While I expect them to win, I think Buffalo will keep it tight and will cover.
