The Colts are at 9-4 on the season, enough for the lead in the AFC South, and it is the play of Andrew Luck that has been instrumental in getting them there. Luck has thrown for 0ver 4,300 yards this season, whilst also connecting for 36 TD’s, leading his team to the number one passing offense in the league. Their running stats don’t really measure up, but they don’t have to when you have a QB who can throw the ball all over the field. Even when Luck has what would be deemed as an “off day,” as he did last week against the Browns, he still finds a way to win. He took his team on a late drive to win the game last week and extend the current winning streak to 3 games.

The Houston Texans have won two in a row and are still hanging around in the division, but they will need to win this weekend in order to stay alive. In order for that to happen, J.J. Watt is going to have to deliver another monster effort. That really doesn’t seem to be asking too much, as he has made a habit of doing just that week in and week out. He has even become a factor on the offense, catching TD passes this season. He looks as good at the tight end spot as he does on the defensive side of the ball, which is really saying something.
BETTING ODDS
Indianapolis have been good at home all year, which is why they have been installed as 6.5-point favorites for this one. The Colts are 9-4 ATS this season, but the stat that really jumps out is that they are 4-0 ATS versus division opponents.
Game Odds:
TEXANS: +6½-110, OV 49 -110
COLTS: -6½-110, UN 49 -110
The Texans are 8-5 ATS, and have done particularly well on the road. They are 3-1 ATS versus division foes, with the only time they failed to cover being against the Colts. These two have met twice in the past three years in Indianapolis, and it was the Colts going 2-0 SU and ATS. The Colts can lock up the division with the win, which should have them and the fans pretty fired up. The Texans are going to need more than just J.J. Watt to stop Andrew Luck, which is why I like the Colts to cover.
