Titans Close Out Season Against Colts. Here are the Full NFL Odds and Game Preview

Written by on December 26, 2014

You would think that a team would be able to relax after clinching their division and a spot in the playoff, but there is still seeding to consider in final couple of weeks. The goal of every team that gets in is to get one of the top two spots so that they can get a bye week and a home game. Things looked good for the Colts a little while back, but they are now in danger of dropping down to number 4 and having a very tough match-up during Wild Card weekend.  Despite the fatal outcome of last week’s game, the Colts still a strong team and a hard opponent, reason why they are listed as 7 point road favorite in the latest NFL odds. Things could certainly have been very different for Indianapolis, but a thumping at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys last week has put them in a very difficult position. The 42-7 loss was bad enough, but the performance of Andrew Luck in that game made it all the more tough to take. The Colts simply have to shake that loss off and get the job done in the final game on the road to the Tennessee Titans. Given that Indy is 5-0 in the division this season would suggest that the Titans are the team to face at the right time. Date/Time: Sunday, December 28, 1:00 PM on CBS Location: LP Field, Nashville, Tennessee There is certainly very little to get excited about in Tennessee at the moment, as the team is on a 9-game losing skid that they show very little sign of being able to get out of. Their offense is a total nightmare, and has only managed to put up a combined 31 points in their last three games. They are going to have to come up with a whole lot more than that if they are to have any kind of success versus the Colts, and that’s assuming that they can find a way to slow down Luck and that offense. BETTING ODDS It may come as a little surprise to learn that the Colts a just a 6.5-point favorite for this one. They have gone 9-5-1 ATS this season, but more importantly are 4-0-1 ACTS when playing a division opponent. The numbers look particularly bad across the board for the Titans, as they are 3-11 ATS on the season, as well as being just 2-8 ATS versus conference foes. In the previous meeting this season, the Colts laid a licking on the Titans, winning 41-17. Game Odds: COLTS: -7-110, OV 46 -110, ML -320 TITANS: +7-110, UN 46 -110, ML +270 I just don’t see any scenario where Tennessee finds a way to keep this one close. Andrew Luck had his worst game of the season last week, so don’t expect him to tank two weeks in a row. I think the Colts in this one going away.
