As usual, the opening week of the 2023 NFL regular season brought a lot of surprises. The New York Giants had visions of upsetting the Dallas Cowboys in their home opener in prime time, but a promising opening drive turned into a Dallas touchdown off a blocked field goal, and the second New York drive ended in a Dallas pick-six, and the rout was on as the Cowboys dealt out their largest Week 1 shutout in franchise history, 40-0. An even bigger surprise happened in Cleveland as the Browns embarrassed the Cincinnati Bengals, 24-3, in a game where Deshaun Watson didn’t even play very well. The Browns blitzed Joe Burrow on almost 40 percent of his dropbacks, looking to take advantage of his calf injury in training camp, and it paid off. Let’s look at some promising NFL Parlay Picks heading into Week 2 – don’t forget to consider these as you plan your NFL betting.
2023 NFL Parlay Picks for Week 2 | Bet NFL Football Lines in Xbet Sportsbook
Minnesota Vikings vs Philadelphia Eagles
NFL Odds: Minnesota Vikings (+7.5) at Philadelphia Eagles (O/U 48.5)
When: Thursday Night Football, September 14 at 8:15 pm ET
Where: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
TV / Streaming: PRIME VIDEO
The Minnesota Vikings were shut down by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a surprising 20-17 home loss to start the season. The Philadelphia Eagles started their season in a driving rain at Gillette Stadium and used an early pick-six in a 16-point first quarter to get enough of a lead to hold on for a 25-20 road win. For the last three quarters, Mac Jones looked a lot more locked-in than Jalen Hurts, but that should change in front of the Philly faithful. The Vikings got a lot of stats out of Kirk Cousins and Justin Jefferson but could not punch the ball into the end zone. They should be able to move the ball just as well against Philadelphia, but the Vikings’ lack of defense (they allowed two touchdown passes by Baker Mayfield) could turn this into a track meet.
NFL Parlay Pick: Eagles to win and cover; take the over.
NFL Parlay Picks for Baltimore Ravens vs Cincinnati Bengals
NFL Odds: Baltimore Ravens (+3) at Cincinnati Bengals
When: Sunday, September 17 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: Paycor Stadium, Cincinnati, OH
TV / Streaming: CBS
The Cincinnati Bengals were victimized by a ferocious Cleveland Browns pass rush and a solid Browns running game. The Browns used defense and running to win the game; can the Baltimore Ravens pull off the same trick? They overwhelmed C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans offense to get by that hapless squad in Week 1. Will they be able to make Joe Burrow rush in the pocket once again? The Bengals have had the Ravens’ number in recent seasons. One reason not to be optimistic about the Ravens is the season-ending injury to J.K. Dobbins that occurred in the opener. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh indicated that the team would replace Dobbins’ production in-house, and that collection of tailbacks was not all that effective in 2022. I see the Bengals bouncing back and taking care of the Ravens at home.
NFL Parlay Pick: Bengals to win and cover.
Green Bay Packers vs Atlanta Falcons
NFL Odds: Green Bay Packers (-1) at Atlanta Falcons
When: Sunday, September 17 at 1:00 pm ET
Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, GA
TV / Streaming: FOX
Two 1-0 teams square off in Atlanta when the Packers visit the Falcons. The Packers dealt with a run-heavy team with a quarterback still early on the learning curve last week and took care of the Chicago Bears. Jordan Love has a multidimensional offense with the Packers, thanks to the production of Aaron Jones and the work of A.J. Dillon. The Packers have an underrated pass defense, but I don’t see Desmond Ridder challenging them much.
NFL Parlay Pick: Packers to win and cover.
