Injuries are already stacking up in the 2023 NFL season, and some of the sport’s top names are out for an extended period of time. Aaron Rodgers went down just four snaps into his first season with the New York Jets. On Monday Night Football, Cleveland Browns tailback Nick Chubb took a dirty, low hit from Pittsburgh defender Minkah Fitzpatrick. Chubb is done for the season after his knee took a bend so gruesome that the telecast crew would not replay it – and Fitzpatrick left with a chest injury. Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson, and Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams are all in the concussion protocol. If you’re going to include moneyline wagers in your NFL betting this week, here are some of our top NFL SU Picks.

Tennessee Titans at Cleveland Browns
NFL Odds: Tennessee Titans (+158) at Cleveland Browns (-190)
When: Sunday, September 24, 2023, 1:00pm ET
Where: Cleveland Browns Stadium, Cleveland, OH
TV/Live Stream: CBS
The Cleveland Browns saw Nick Chubb go down to injury. Jerome Ford filled in gamely, scampering for a 69-yard run that set up a touchdown, but the Cleveland offense is still mired in quicksand. The San Francisco 49ers rolled over the Steelers for 30 points thanks to a solid passing and rushing attack, and it’s clear that the Browns aren’t there yet. The Browns do have a ferocious pass rush, but the Titans don’t rely that heavily on the passing game, thanks to power tailback Derrick Henry. Watson still looks tentative, while Ryan Tannehill looks more comfortable this year. Titans to win.

New England Patriots at New York Jets
NFL Odds: New England Patriots (-150) at N.Y. Jets (+126)
When: Sunday, September 24, 2023, 1:00pm ET
Where: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
TV/Live Stream: CBS
The New England Patriots have opened 0-2 at home, taking on Philadelphia and Miami in tough matchups. The Patriots only lost to the defending NFC champions by five in Week 1 and fought back before losing to the Dolphins by a touchdown. Now they head to Gotham to face a Jets team that will have its backup quarterback, Zach Wilson, leading the offense. Tailbacks Breece Hall and Dalvin Cook had minimal impact in the Jets’ 30-10 Week 2 loss in Dallas, but the Cowboys jumped out to such an early, sizable lead that the Jets had to pass. Wilson had some nice completions before throwing three interceptions, but a lot of that had to do with the Dallas pass rush. The Patriots don’t get after quarterbacks as effectively, and Wilson looked comfortable at points in both Weeks 1 and 2. Jets to win.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Las Vegas Raiders SNF
NFL Odds SNF: Pittsburgh Steelers (-105) at Las Vegas Raiders (-115)
When: Sunday Night Football, September 24, 2023, 8:20 pm ET
Where: Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, NV
TV/Live Stream: NBC
Even without Diontae Johnson, the Pittsburgh Steelers have some nice offensive weapons around Kenny Pickett – and Pickett stood in tall against that Cleveland pass rush on Monday night. Najee Harris should find room to run against the Raiders’ defense, and Pittsburgh’s pass rush should give Jimmy Garoppolo fits for most of the night. Steelers to win.

Los Angeles Rams Rams at Cincinnati Bengals MNF
NFL Odds MNF: L.A. Rams (+110) at Cincinnati Bengals (-130)
When: Monday Night Football, September 25, 2023, 8:15 pm ET
Where: Paycor Stadium, Cincinnati, OH
TV/Live Stream: ESPN, ESPN2
Joe Burrow is questionable for this rematch of Super Bowl LVI after aggravating his calf strain in the Bengals’ Week 2 home loss to Baltimore. His backup, Jake Browning, has never played a regular-season snap in the NFL, which makes you wonder why so many teams are leaving legitimate quarterback candidates such as Garrett Gilbert in the free-agent pile. The Rams’ offense is cooking for Matthew Stafford, even without Cooper Kupp and Cam Akers, as we saw when the Rams pushed the 49ers hard in Week 2. I do think that Burrow will find his way to the field and lead his team to a gutsy win, as the Bengals turn an 0-2 start into a 1-2 record after Week 3 like they did last season. Bengals to win.
