NFL Week 7 Expert Betting Picks & Predictions

NFL Week 7 Expert Betting Picks & Predictions

We’ll know a lot about the 32 NFL franchises by the time Week 7 of the 2017 regular season rolls around. Is Derek Carr’s revival of the Oakland Raiders for real? Will Alex Smith finally get exposed in Kansas City? Will Deshaun Watson have the starting job for the Texans yet? Will Kirk Cousins still be earning that big-time franchise tag money? Is this the year when Ben Roethlisberger or Aaron Rodgers finally starts to show some signs of age? Let’s take a look at some NFL betting matchups in Week 7 — and our picks with the spread.

NFL Week 7 Expert Betting Picks & Predictions

Kansas City Chiefs at Oakland Raiders

When: Thursday, October 19th, 8:25 PM Where: O.co Coliseum, Oakland, California. TV: CBS Radio: 101 The FOX (Kansas City) / 95.7 The GAME FM (Oakland) Live Stream: NFL Live NFL Week 7 Odds: Raiders -3 First of all, everyone knows by now that Alex Smith is a short-pass, check-down quarterback who is skilled at avoiding the turnover but who lacks the confidence (or perhaps the arm) to gun it down the field with accuracy when he needs to. Kansas City won the division a year ago thanks to Carr going down to injury and Denver deciding to use Trevor Siemian at quarterback instead of going after a quality free agent. I like Oakland (now boasting Marshawn Lynch at tailback) delivering a convincing win over the Chiefs at home.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Buffalo Bills

When: Sunday, October 22, 1:00pm ET Where: Ralph Wilson Stadium, New York, NY. TV: FOX Radio: WDAE 620 AM (Tampa Bay) / WCMF 96.5 FM (Buffalo) Live Stream: NFL Live NFL Week 7 Odds: Buffalo -1.5 Let’s see — you have the passing tandem of Jameis Winston and DeSean Jackson in Tampa Bay — along with a credible defense. In the case of Buffalo, you have a still-unproven quarterback, no matter whether they roll out Tyrod Taylor or EJ Manuel. You do have an aggressive secondary led by LSU standout Tre’Davious White. However, it won’t be enough to stop the Buccaneer attack, and I see Tampa Bay winning this game outright.

Tennessee Titans at Cleveland Browns

When: Sunday, October 22, 1:00pm ET Where: FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland, OH. TV: CBS Radio: 104.5 The Zone (Tennessee) / 95.5 FM WZOH (Cleveland) Live Stream: NFL Live NFL Week 7 Odds: Titans -15 The Browns will definitely be on the upswing this year (I know, I said that last year, but I’m excited about the arrival of DeShone Kizer at quarterback, as well as all of those draft picks the Browns plan to put out on the field. However, it won’t be enough to stop a Titans team that has Marcus Mariota and DeMarco Murray to pace them toward an AFC South crown. I like the Titans to win and cover. Are the Dolphins a safe bet against for NFL Week 7?

N.Y. Jets at Miami Dolphins

When: Sunday, October 22, 1:00 pm ET Where: Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens TV: FOX Radio: ESPN New York 98.7 FM (NY) / AM 560 WQAM (Miami) Live Stream: NFL Live NFL Week 7 Odds: Miami -8.5 In Week 6, the Jets host the Patriots and (if they follow my prediction) will take a beating from Tom Brady & Co. They head down to sunny Florida to take on the Dolphins the next week, and I don’t things getting much better. The Dolphins made the playoffs last year with a backup quarterback at the helm, and with Ryan Tannehill back under center and a surprisingly stout Dolphins defense with another half-season of confidence in the tank, I see Miami winning and covering.

Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers

When: Sunday, October 22, 4:05pm ET Where: Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, CA. TV: FOX Radio: 105.3 The Fan (Dallas) / KSAN 107.7 FM (San Francisco) Live Stream: NFL Live NFL Week 7 Odds: Cowboys -8.5 Blaine Gabbert is the quarterback of the future for the 49ers? Really? And who did San Francisco bring in to play defense? To be sure, Dallas has a mostly smoke-and-mirrors defense set to go this season as well, but at least Ezekiel Elliott should be back from any suspension that Roger Goodell might have meted out for that domestic violence allegation that the police opted not to follow up. To summarize, I see the Cowboys rolling to a relatively easy win out on the Bay.

Denver Broncos at L.A. Chargers

When: Sunday, October 22, 4:25 PM Where: StubHub Center, Carson, CA. TV: CBS Radio: 94.1 FM (Denver) / KFI AM 640 (LA) Live Stream: NFL Live NFL Week 7 Odds: PK The Broncos don’t have much in the way of offense, but the Chargers don’t have much in the way of defense. San Diego does have the always-dangerous Phillip Rivers running their offense, but the Broncos still have that stout defense largely intact. However, the Chargers are playing their home games this season in a soccer stadium, which means that they will only have half the fan base on hand that a normal NFL game would have. I like the Broncos to use their defense to drive the pace in this game and eke out a win on the road.
