NFL 2023 Week 9 Parlay Betting Picks

NFL 2023 Week 9 Parlay Betting Picks

Written by on October 31, 2023

There was a time when the NFL trade deadline was basically a non-news item because so few trades took place during the regular season. That’s changed in recent years, as we saw last year when the San Francisco 49ers brought Christian McCaffrey west from Carolina in a mid-season trade, and the star tailback supercharged the 49er offense and helped them get to the NFC Championship despite having a third-string quarterback leading the offense. (Brock Purdy is an unusually good third-string quarterback, but still). This time around, one team that should be in the trade market is the Miami Dolphins, who need a boat in the running game. Going into Week 9, don’t miss your chance to maximize your football betting profits by cashing in on our suggested NFL Parlay Picks.

NFL Parlay Picks in Week 9: De’Von Achane is one of the top backs in yards after contact, but trading for someone like Saquon Barkley, an elite back on a team taking on water, would make sense.

Tennessee Titans at Pittsburgh Steelers TNF

When: Thursday Night Football, November 2 at 8:15 pm ET
Where: Acrisure Stadium, Pittsburgh, PA
TV / Streaming: Prime Video

Both of these teams have high drama at the quarterback position. In Tennessee, Ryan Tannehill is out with a high ankle sprain. However, rookie Will Levis started in Tannehill’s spot this past weekend and went off for four touchdown passes in the Titans’ win over the Falcons. Only two other NFL quarterbacks have ever through four touchdown passes in their pro debuts: Hall of Famer Fran Tarkenton and Marcus Mariota. Levis’ success in the passing game opened up opportunities in the running game, and Derrick Henry took advantage of those opportunities, running for 101 yards.

On Pittsburgh’s side of things, Kenny Pickett went down late in the first half, when Jacksonville defensive end Adam Gotsis nailed him on a pass play. Pickett suffered a rib injury that will leave him as a game-time decision on the short week. Mitch Trubisky came on and went 15 of 27 for 138 yards and a touchdown – but also two picks – in a 20-10 loss. Can Levis keep up the solid work against a Pittsburgh team that has a stout defense? We will see, but this point total seems low.

NFL Parlay Pick: Titans to cover, take the over.

Miami Dolphins vs Kansas City Chiefs

When: Sunday, November 5 at 8:30 am ET
Where: Frankfurt Stadium, Frankfurt
TV / Streaming: NFL Network

This game is set for Frankfurt, Germany, and the jet lag will be even more of a factor than it is in London as Germany is one more time zone ahead of Wembley Stadium. Patrick Mahomes had flu-like symptoms on Friday and Saturday and barely touched the field for warmups in Denver on Sunday, and it was clear that he was suffering in a 24-9 loss that ended a 16-game winning streak for the Chiefs against the Broncos. The Kansas City defense was smothering most of the way, but the KC turnovers just gave the Broncos too many short fields. Will Mahomes have time to recover, get on a plane, and be 100% on the other side of the world?

Miami’s offense looked back on track against New England on Sunday. Tua Tagovailoa threw for 324 yards, and both Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill had over 100 receiving yards. The Dolphins’ defense didn’t exactly muzzle the Patriots, but a 31-17 win is convincing. The Chiefs have a stouter defense than New England, and games tend to be a little more low-scoring when the teams have to travel to Europe the week before. I think Mahomes figures things out, and the Chiefs’ defense can force Miami into enough third-and-longs to get the win.

NFL Parlay Pick: Chiefs to win and cover, take the under.
