Bet on NFL Online as Winless Bears Host Revamped Raiders

Written by on October 3, 2015

The Chicago Bears will look to pick up their first win of the 2015 season when they play host to a revamped Oakland Raiders team that is looking pretty damned good these days. Now, let’s find out if Chicago can pull off the upset at home and cash in against the Raiders for all you guys looking to bet on NFL online this weekend.

Oakland at Chicago NFL Game Preview

When: 1:00 PM ET, Sunday, October 4, 2015 Where: Soldier Field, Chicago, Illinois NFL Odds: Oakland -3 Over/Under: 44.5

Chicago Bears (0-3 SU, 0-3 ATS)

The Bears looked absolutely pitiful in punting every single time they had the ball in their emphatic 26-0 shutout loss against Seattle. Starting in place of injured starter Jay Cutler, backup quarterback Jimmy Clausen completed just 9 of 17 passes for 63 yards while the Bears were held to just 146 total yards of offense. Chicago never came close to covering the spread as a 16.5-point road dog against the Seahawks and is ranked a pitiful 28th in total offense and an even more dismal 31st in scoring (15.3ppg). Defensively, the Bears also rank dead last in pints allowed defensively (35.0 ppg). chicago-bears-nfl

Oakland Raiders (2-1 SU, 2-1 ATS)

The Raiders won their second straight game by beating up on Cleveland in its 27-20 Week 3 win to cash in as a 3.5-point road underdog. Second-year signal-caller Derek Carr completed 20 of 32 passes in the win for 314 yards and two touchdowns while running back Latavius Murray added 139 yards and one score on 26 carries. The Raiders are ranked seventh in total yards and passing and a solid 10th in scoring (25.7 ppg). Unfortunately, Oakland is also ranked a dismal 28th in points allowed (28.7). oakland-raiders

Game Analysis

A whopping 68 percent of the betting public likes Oakland to cover the spread and I’m in total agreement, seeing as how Chicago can’t score – or stop the opposition from scoring. Chicago is just 7-20-1 ATS in their last 28 home games and have about as much chance of beating Oakland in this game as I have of beating LeBron James in a game of 1-on-1. 52 percent of the betting public likes the Under, but I’m thinking the Over is the right pick here with these two teams combining to allow a whopping 63.7 points per game defensively. The Over is 6-0 in Oakland’s last six games and 8-1 in Chicago’s last nine games against a team with a winning record.

The Pick: Oakland 31 Chicago 21
