Nashville at Anaheim NHL Playoffs Lines Game 5

On Saturday night, the Nashville Predators and the Anaheim Ducks meet in Game 5 of their Western Conference quarterfinal series. The Predators shocked the Ducks by winning Games 1 and 2 in California, but then the Ducks turned the tables and took the next two, winning Game 4 by a 4-1 score to bring the series level. Why Should You Bet on Nashville?

The Predators may have missed their chance to end the Ducks’ season after one round, but they did win Games 1 and 2 on the Ducks’ home ice. They did a good job of applying pressure to the Ducks’ net, particularly in the second period, but they need to apply the same level of pressure they put to work in Games 1 and 2. Admittedly, the Ducks were not playing defense as well as they did in Nashville, but the Predators still have the talent to buzz the net and get shots from better angles.

Why Should You Put Your Money on the Ducks?

Putting Frederik Andersen in goal instead of John Gibson has apparently been the difference for the Ducks in this series, at least thus far. Andersen stopped 30 shots in Game 4 and set a career shutout record of 91 minutes and 26 seconds. The Predators peppered Andersen with 31 shots and went 0 for 6 on the power play, as the Ducks’ gritty defense simply would not allow the Predators any opportunities to get good lucks at the net. Anaheim has found their defensive momentum and will be hard to stop at home.

Expert Betting Pick and Final Score Prediction

I like Anaheim to continue their momentum and take care of the Predators in Game 5. I’m predicting that the Ducks will win, 3-1.
