Top NHL Parlay Picks of the Week

Written by on December 19, 2016

The NHL is in its last week before the “Christmas Break” takes place for three days. Many teams are rounding into shape. Let’s take a look at some NHL betting predictions that will surely complete your weekly parlay picks.

New York Rangers at Pittsburgh Penguins

This is a matchup of two teams that have already reached the 20 win plateau. Also, it is a battle of the first and second place teams in the Metropolitan Division.  The Rangers are 23-10-1 and 11-5-0 on the road. Pittsburgh is 20-7-5 with a 13-2-2 record at home and are 7-1-2 in their last ten games. The difference in these two teams is in the defense. The Penguins have allowed 90 goals while scoring 113 and the Rangers have given up 60 goals and netting 109 of their own. Look for Pittsburgh to come out on top in this home contest making them our first parlay pick.

New York Islanders at Boston Bruins

The Islanders come in to Boston in 8th place in the Metropolitan Division and a 11-14-6 record with a 2-7-2 record. They have netted 81 goals but allowed 99 to the opposition. Currently they are 10-20 ATS and 15-12-4 on the over/under. The Bruins are 17-13-3 and even at home with a record of 8-8. They are in third place in the Atlantic Division. They have scored 78 goals and allowed 79 goals for the season and 5-3-2 in their last 10 games. Anytime you get a Boston and New York team together it is a struggle to the finish. The Islanders are a poor road team so Boston is the team to win this contest.  Add Boston as your second parlay pick for the week.

Washington Capitals at Philadelphia Flyers

The Capitals will be back after a few days of rest as they lost over the weekend to Montreal 2-1. Goalie Braden Holtby made 23 saves but they fell to 19-9-3. Justin Williams, Nikolas Backstrom and Alex Ovechkin hooking up together give fantastic offensive chances for the Caps. The Flyers enter with a 19-11-3 record with a hot Jakub Voracek leading the scoring recently and captain Claude Giroux right behind him and forward Brayden Schenn coming of an eight point stretch. Rest is the determining factor here as the Capitals edge out the home Flyers.

St. Louis at Tampa Bay

The fourth pick for our parlay card in from the Blues / Tampa game. The Blues are not beating the really good teams. Coach Ken Hitchcock has called out his team after leading the Blackhawks four times last weekend and losing the contest. In order for St. Louis to win Vladimir Tarasenko has to lead. Patrik Berglund and Kyle Brodziak along with Scott Edmundson who can dish out assists. The Lightning have five forwards out with Steve Stamkos, Ondrej Palat and leading scorer Nikita Kucherov in that list. The only scorer they have at the moment is Alex Killorn. Tampa Bay comes home for a series and that is what they are looking forward to but the Blues are too strong in this one.

Los Angeles at Dallas

A matchup of two good teams rounds out play before the Christmas break. The Stars know how to play the good teams as they ended the Flyers’ 10-game winning streak with a 3-1 victory at American Airlines Center on Saturday afternoon. Adam Cracknell and Antti Niemi can lead this team to beat anyone. The Kings just can’t score. They have been shutout four times this season. Coach Darryl Sutter knows his team is tired as they are on the road until Dec. 31st. Goalie Jonathan Quick has been out since opening day and Peter Budaj has filled in admirably. The Stars at home will prevail over the very road weary (nine games in 17 days) Kings. Add the Stars as the fifth and final pick in our NHL parlay card for the week. Good luck with your parlay card at Xbet!
