Moldavsky vs Vassell Odds, Analysis and Picks for PFL Betting Lines 2024 Regular Season

Written by on June 12, 2024

The fourth MMA event on the Professional Fighters League 2024 slate is set for Thursday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. This installment includes PFL betting fights in the men’s heavyweight and women’s flyweight divisions. The headliner is a heavyweight trilogy fight featuring Linton Vassell and former interim Bellator Heavyweight Champion Valentin Moldavsky.

They first met in 2019 at Bellator 281, and Moldavsky won unanimously on the cards. The rematch came at Bellator 292 in March 2023, and Vassell got revenge with a first-round knockout. The co-main event is a women’s flyweight tilt between Dakota Ditcheva and Chelsea Hackett. We have the full fight card, as well as sports betting predictions for several of the bouts.

Moldavsky vs Vassell PFL Betting Odds: 2024 Regular Season Picks Men’s Heavyweight and Women’s Flyweight Divisions | MMA Odds

Valentin Moldavsky -360 vs Linton Vassell +224

Moldavsky (13-3, 1-0 PFL) vs Vassell (23-9, 0-1 PFL) should be an entertaining cap to a powerful rivalry. Moldavsky looked terrific in his PFL debut against Ante Delija, needing just one round to find his opponent with a violent overhand right. Dlija was stunned enough to lead Moldavsky land a flush knee and then a wave of strikes.

That win gave Moldavsky three points for the victory and a three-point bonus for ending things in the first round. Vassell’s debut against Denis Goltsov got off to a strong start as well, as Vassell slammed Goltsov in the opening round. However, his speed and strength dissipated in the second round, and Goltsov took the edge, using ground-and-pound to stop the fight during the third round. Vassell is 41 years old, which means his stamina will get another test on Thursday.

These two fighters are quite familiar with each other, and it will be up to Vassell to get another upset. Moldavsky has bounced back from that loss to Vassell with two wins in a row, but he is still a risk to have a slow start. Will need to get the action going fast to cue an upset, while Moldavsky’s gambit is to weather the storm early and then reverse things to try and get the fight over in the second round.

PFL Betting Prediction: Moldavsky wins via submission

Dakota Ditcheva -2273 vs Chelsea Hackett +660

Ditcheva (11-0, 6-0 PFL) vs Hackett (4-2-1, 1-1 PFL) is Ditcheva’s next shot at dominating this division. She has terrific speed and can demolish opponents with her striking. She’s still just 25, though, and she hasn’t fought significant talent yet. Hackett isn’t the test she needs, but she is next on the schedule.

Hackett lost to Jena Bishop in an armbar in the first round of PFL 1. Hackett had real problems with Bishop on the ground but should have a better matchup with Ditcheva, who also likes to stay up and use the striking game. Hackett was a world champion in WMC Muay Thai, posting a 16-4-3 record, and she may have more to offer on defense against Ditcheva, who used a knee to the body to take apart Lisa Mauldin in her season opener.

PFL Betting Prediction: Ditcheva wins via knockout
