The International Champions Cup is a global soccer tournament that many of the top European soccer clubs use to tune up for the coming seasons. Team Analysis

Real Madrid will look to see what the addition of Eden Hazard can bring to their roster. The Belgian national was the difference-maker for Chelsea with his ball-handling, but this team will face pressure to contend in La Liga, as they have brought in Eder Militao, Rodrygo, Ferland Mendy and Luka Jovic as well. The key will be consistency as the new arrivals mesh together. Manchester United will look for scoring from people other than Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku, who are rumored to be on the way out during the transfer window. Anthony Martial can score, but now Marcus Rashford will need to deliver more regularly. Juventus seemed to have cemented their status as Serie A frontrunners by adding Cristiano Ronaldo, but he has not meshed well with the lineup yet. Aaron Ramsey has joined the eam in the midfield, but he will need to focus more onservice than with making runs. New manager Maurizio Sarri likes a style that features swift passing, and Juventus will need to adjust. Bayern Munich is in the middle of a rebuild, as Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery are gone, while Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard are the new core. Niko Kovac’s first season as manager was up-and-down, and the team will likely add more names at the transfer window, but seeing the players on the roster work together will be important. Arsenal has plenty of drama thanks to Laurent Koscielny’s refusal to travel, because he is not sure the team will keep him. As the team captain, his absence could play a key role, particularly on the back line. He is susceptible to injuries and he is nearing a point where age will likely rule him out, but how will this affect the team’s preparation for the Cup? Atletico Madrid lost Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona and Diego Godin to Inter Milan. The team brought in Joao Felix to replace Griezmann, and it will be interesting to see if he can play Griezmann’s grinding style, or if the team shifts its tactics. Inter Milan has brought in a taskmaster in Antonio Conte, whose work ethic brought results in Juventus and Chelsea. He seems to have sent a message already, dropping Mauro Icardi from the first team.
