Don’t miss this Soccer Friendly Odds! The U.S. men’s national soccer team has one more warm up match ahead of the 2024 Copa America tournament as they welcome Brazil, the five-time FIFA World Cup champions, to Camping World Stadium in Orlando to play in the Allstate Continental Classic on Wednesday. After this match, the United States will start play in Group C on June 23 when they play Bolivia. Other group dates come on June 27 against Panama and July 1 against Uruguay.
The US is hoping to shake off a humiliating friendly on Saturday, when Colombia scored in the sixth and 19th minutes to take an early 2-0 advantage. While the U.S. were able to pull one goal back shortly after halftime, Colombia then dropped three more on the hosts to deliver the 5-1 beating. Orlando has been a friendly place for the USMNT, as the hosts have a 7-2-0 record all time here. However, they have not played at Camping World Stadium since January 1998, when they beat Sweden there, 1-0. They also played there twice in 1993, losing to Russia and Australia, with both scores ending 1-0. When the team has played more recently in Orlando, they have played at INTER&Co Stadium; most recently, the USMNT routed Panama, 5-1, on that pitch, on March 22, behind a hat trick from Christian Pulisic.
If there is optimism for the United States here, it will come from the porous defense that Brazil has played recently. In March, they drew with Spain, 3-3. On Saturday, they allowed a pair of goals against a Mexico team that has even less offensive firepower than the U.S. They had to put their starters in at the half to deliver a 3-2 win, relying on a stoppage-time game-winner from Endrick. Expect the U.S. to start Haji Wright and Ricardo Pepi, who came off the bench on Saturday, to start on Wednesday.
The attacking set-up needs to feature Timothy Weah, who scored the only goal against Colombia, along with Pulisic, Gio Reyna and either Wright or Pepi. The U.S. also needs to get rid of the mistakes on defense that allowed Colombia to have two goals before the 20-minute mark.

United States has only beaten Brazil once in 19 tries in a series that goes all the way back to 1930. That win came in 1998 at the CONCACAF Gold Cup, in which Brazil took part as a guest nation. The U.S. won, 1-0, as goalie Kasey Keller absolutely stood on his head, making 10 saves against a powerful Brazilian attack. Preki scored the game’s only tally in the second half. The last time these two met was on September 7, 2018, in a friendly in New Jersey. Brazil won that time, 2-0. Brazil has nine Copa America titles and will appear in Group D with Paraguay, Costa Rica and Colombia.
Brazil enters on the momentum of a 3-2 win over Mexico on Saturday, a match in which the Selecao rested most of their top players for half of the contest. The main problem that Brazil represents for the U.S. is the sheer differential in talent. Brazil have Vinicius Jr, Endrick, Rodrygo, Gabriel Martinelli, Raphinha, and Endrick all available to start in attacker roles.
All of those players are far superior to any of the attackers that the U.S. has to put out onto the pitch. Gregg Berhalter is hearing the criticism in his second stint as the manager of the U.S. men’s team, particularly after that embarrassing result against Colombia. It’s hard to argue that the U.S. has confidence on either end of the pitch, and the Brazilians should be able to take advantage.
US vs Brazil Final Score and Prediction
U.S. has never really found a consistent attacking rhythm under Berhalter’s time as coach. Their defense has a habit of making early mistakes that, against quality opposition, put the team in early deficits. I see Brazil using this matchup to tune things up from that match against Mexico in a 3-0 win.
