Memphis 901 FC -162 vs Hartford Athletic +420

When: Wednesday, September 11, 8:00 pm ET
Pick Draw +280

Hartford Athletic are in the middle of a five-match winless streak after a home draw against the Indy Eleven on Saturday.

Hartford possessed for 58% of the match and completed 82% of their passes but were outshot (11-10, 2-1 on target).

They did manage to force seven corners. However, their offensive form has not been particularly solid for over a month.

Memphis 901 had a tough night in their last game, a 3-1 loss at Colorado Springs that saw the visitors finish with just nine men.

Colorado Springs got a quick brace from Jonas Fjeldberg, who scored in the fourth and sixth minutes, and then Memphis pulled one back when they benefited from an own goal in the 31st.

Samuel Careaga was shown a straight red five minutes before halftime, and then matters progressed at 2-1 until the 75th minute, when Ronaldo Damus converted from the spot.

Marlon let his frustrations get the better of him two minutes later, leaving Memphis 901 two men down.

They did beat Hartford on the road, 2-0, in their first meeting of 2024.

USL Pick: Memphis 901 to win

FC Tulsa +153 vs Las Vegas Lights +167

When: Wednesday, September 11, 8:30 pm ET
Pick Draw +230

FC Tulsa lost on the road Friday, falling 1-0 at Phoenix Rising FC. The hosts benefited from a penalty in the fourth minute of extra time in the first half, and they made that goal stand up the rest of the way.

FC Tulsa only possessed for 38% of the match and was outshot 16-6 (5-1 on target). With that kind of offense, it will be difficult for them to do much damage at home against Las Vegas.

The Lights last played on August 31 when they won at Orange County SC, 3-2.

Orange County actually went up 2-0 after Ethan Zubak scored in the 11th and 19th minutes, and the match was looking like a laugher.

Then Khori Bennett scored from the spot in the 39th minute and added the equalizer in the 63rd. It came down to an own goal to give Las Vegas the winner in the 87th minute.

The Lights possessed for 62% of the match and outshot Orange County, 14-11 (6-5 on target).

USL Pick: Las Vegas to win.

Tampa Bay Rowdies vs Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC

When: Saturday, September 14, 7:30 pm ET

The Rowdies were in Colorado Springs on Saturday but fell, 4-2. The hosts got an own goal in the 28th minute, and Tyreek Magee doubled their lead three minutes before halftime.

Just two minutes after the intermission, Justin Dhillon made it 3-0, and then Yosuke Hanya added a fourth goal six minutes later.

The Rowdies got some garbage-time scoring from Leo Fernandes (74th minute) and Damian Rivera (79th), but this was not nearly as close a game as the score indicated.

Pittsburgh was at home on Saturday to face Rhode Island and rolled to a 2-0 win. Bertin Jacquesson scored in the fifth minute of extra time in the first half, and then Bradley Sample doubled the lead in the 50th minute.

The game was low-offense as Pittsburgh outshot Rhode Island but only by a 5-2 margin (3-0 on target). Rhode Island possessed for 63% of the match but could not mount much offense at all.

USL Pick: Pittsburgh to win.

USL Championships Games Picks for Top Matches of the Week | Soccer Odds

New Mexico United -410 vs Miami FC +950

When: Friday, September 6, 9:00 pm ET
Pick Draw +490

Miami is in dead last in the Eastern Conference, with just three wins and two draws in 26 matches.

However, they did win their last match, a 1-0 win over Monterey Bay FC. They had the man advantage for much of the game, as Monterey saw Jerry Ayon sent off with a straight red in the 39th minute.

Frank Lopez found the back of the net for Miami just three minutes after the intermission, and the hosts made that goal stand up the rest of the way.

Miami did not lead in possession (42%) but did lead in shots (17-10) and shots on target (7-3).

Monterey forced nine corners, applying the pressure, but they could not break through.

New Mexico leads the Western Conference, with a 15-3-7 record through 25 matches.

Interestingly, their goal differential is just +5 for the season, so when they’ve lost, they’ve lost convincingly.

They lost their last game as they went to third-place Oakland and fell, 1-0. The match was scoreless most of the way until Oakland got a 76th-minute goal from Dom Dwyer.

New Mexico led in shots (9-7) and shots on target (2-1) and possessed for 56% of the match. They also forced eight corners, but they just couldn’t break through.

USL Pick: Given the difficulties that New Mexico is having on offense, I’m predicting a 1-1 draw.

Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC +121 vs Rhode Island FC +218

When: Saturday, September 7, 7:00 pm ET
Pick Draw +230

Pittsburgh went to Indianapolis last week and played the Indy Eleven to a 1-1 draw. The Riverhounds SC lost Patrick Hogan to a straight red just four minutes in, but were able to keep things scoreless with just 10 men.

They even took a lead in the 73rd minute when Danny Griffin scored, but then Romario Williams got the backbreaking equalizer in the seventh minute of stoppage time in the second half, limiting Pittsburgh to a single point.

The Eleven out shot Pittsburgh, 13-6 (4-2 on target) and possessed for 74% of the game, forcing 11 corners, so the breakthrough was perhaps inevitable.

Rhode Island controlled matters late in a 2-0 home win over Birmingham Legion FC last week.

The match was scoreless well into the second half, but Stephen Turnbull scored for the hosts in the 71st minute, and J.J. Williams added the insurance tally in the 90th.

The stats favored Pittsburgh all night as they outshot the visitors, 15-4 (6-2 on target) and possessed for 58% of the match while also doubling up Birmingham on corners forced (6-3).

USL Pick: Pittsburgh to win.

Charleston Battery -121 vs Sacramento Republic FC +310

When: Saturday, September 7, 7:30 pm ET
Pick Draw +260

Sacramento stopped San Antonio FC at home, 1-0, in their last action on August 24.

Despite launching 21 shots (and putting six on target), the hosts were unable to score in open play, instead relying on a Russell Cicerone shot from the spot in the 86th minute to get the win.

Sacramento possessed for 68% of the match and attempted almost twice as many passes as the visitors.

Charleston dismantled Orange County, SC, 6-0, at home in their last match on August 24.

The visitors lost Ryan Doghman to a red card in the fifth minute, and it took Nick Markanich just two more minutes to benefit from a penalty.

Arturo Rodriguez would double the hosts’ lead in the 39th minute. After halftime, Markanich scored three minutes in, and he would cash in with a hat trick in the 75th minute.

M.D. Myers had a second-half brace as well to round out the scoring. Charleston out shot Orange County, 16-5 (10-1 on target) and possessed for 64% of the match.

Physicality was a definite factor as the teams combined for 24 fouls, one yellow and two red cards.

USL Pick: Charleston to win.
