Bayern Munich is looking to move another win closer to its eighth consecutive Bundesliga title as the team heads to Leverkusen to take on the fifth-place team in the table. Bayer Leverkusen sits 11 points back of the Bundesliga leaders, but just four points out of second place, as Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Borussia Monchengladbach are all in a four-point scrum right now. Champions League slots go to the top four teams in the table at the end of the season, so Bayer Leverkusen has plenty of motivation. There will be a little less energy for the home side as they will continue to play in empty stadiums, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Even so, this will be a test for Die Roten, as they take to the road to see if they can keep up their winning ways. Don’t miss our Bundesliga Betting preview of this Bundesliga boondoggle.

Why should you put your money on Bayern Munich?
Bayern Munich rolled Fortuna Dusseldorf in their last match, as they continue to show that their offense did not suffer during the COVID-19 hiatus. Since the team installed Hansi Flick as manager back in November, they have lost just twice in 19 league games. Across all competitions, Bayern Munich has not lost in 19 straight matches. They have won eight straight games in Bundesliga play, scoring 28 goals and posting five clean sheets.
Bayern Munich is getting a considerable amount of offense from Polish international Robert Lewandowski, who leads the Bundesliga with 29 goals. He has not scored in his last four starts against Leverkusen, but he has been finding and exploiting space to a degree that shows he could break through. Even if he can’t, though, Bayern Munich has been bringing in plenty of scoring from different sources. In their last five matches, six different players have scored, including defenders Alfonso Davies and Benjamin Pavard. Their defense has also stood tall, as we saw in their 1-0 victory at second-place Borussia Dortmund back in May.
Why should you bet on Bayer Leverkusen?
Bayer Leverkusen took an ugly 4-1 home loss against Wolfsburg but bounced back last week, taking down SC Freiburg on the road, 1-0, in their last match. The side has now won three of four since the league resumed play in May. In the win at Freiburg, Kai Havertz knocked home his 11th goal of the season. Havertz has been rumored to be headed to some of the top teams in Europe, and if he can tally against Bayern Munich, he will up his transfer winnings.
Leverkusen is one of the few teams that has beaten Bayern Munich so far this season; in fact, they dealt Bayern Munich a 2-1 win on the road back in November, thanks to a pair of goals from striker Leon Bailey. When the two teams met in Leverkusen last season, Bayern Munich went up early, 1-0, before Leverkusen came storming back to win, 3-1. That history is worth noting, even though Leverkusen’s stands will be empty and Bayern Munich will have plenty of motivation to end that two-match slide against this team. Even so, Leverkusen has won five of the last six meetings with Bayern Munich at home.
Leverkusen vs Bayern Final Score Prediction
Bayern Munich comes in as the heavy favorite, and with good reason. However, Leverkusen has scored at least one goal in 13 straight matches, and the favorites are missing Thiago Alcantara and Philippe Coutinho. Given how steady their offense has been, and given their depth, though, it’s hard to pick against the favorites. I predict a final score of Bayern Munich 3, Bayer Leverkusen 2, as Bayern maintains their seven-point lead in the Bundesliga.
