Bundesliga Betting: TSG 1899 Hoffenheim vs RB Leipzig Odds & Preview June 12

The Bundesliga’s 2019-20 season continues this week, and on Friday third-place RB Leipzig travels to seventh-place TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for a chance to add points and stay in a Champions League slot for 2020-21. Leipzig has fewer losses (three) than any other team in the Bundesliga), but their 11 draws tie them for the most in the league table with tenth-place Schalke 04. They have 59 points, 11 behind the league leaders, but they are only three points clear of falling into fifth place, which would force them into a playoff for a Champions League slot. Hoffenheim has 43 points, 13 points off the Champions League pace, but they could easily play the spoiler. Let’s see how the Bundesliga Odds will be for the Hoffenheim vs Leipzig.

Why should you put your money on Leipzig?

Leipzig will definitely be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s match. They came in fresh on the high of a 4-2 win at 1. FC Koln only to settle for a 1-1 draw at home against Paderborn, the bottom team in the table (and almost certain of relegation at the end of the season). In that match, Patrik Schick had put the hosts on the board in the 27th minute, but then Dayot Upamecano was shown a red card in the 43rd minute, which meant that the hosts would play a man down the rest of the way. Things looked secure until Christian Strohdiek struck in injury time at the end of the second half to swipe the point for the visitors. This was not a fluke, to be sure. Paderborn had controlled possession 54 percent of the game and had outshot the hosts 12-9 (4-3 on target). The game featured 25 combined fouls and five yellow cards (four to Paderborn), but Upamecano was unlucky enough to be sent off. Hopefully Leipzig will come out less full of themselves against Hoffenheim and will play up to their normal level. If you like Leipzig, you see them rebounding to their previous level of excellence.

Why should you bet on Hoffenheim?

Hoffenheim will also have a man out due to red-card suspension, as Benjamin Huebner was shown the gate in just the ninth minute against Fortuna Dusseldorf on Saturday. Rouwen Hennings had opened the scoring for Dusseldorf in just the fifth minute, and then four minutes later Huebner was sent off. However, Hoffenheim played terrific ball for a team down a man, as Moanes Dabour drew the team level in the 16th minute. Steven Zuber put Hoffenheim ahead in the 61st minute, but then Hennings completed his brace in the 76th minute, converting from the spot and bringing the hosts level. That score, 2-2, is where matters remained. Dusseldorf possessed for 65 percent of the game and outshot Hoffenheim by a mile, 18-4 (4-2 on target). The teams combined for 27 fouls and eight yellow cards, and Dusseldorf applied plenty of pressure, forcing seven corners and getting drawn into three offsides, but they just couldn’t break through against Hoffenheim. Can Hoffenheim put up another spirited effort against a team much higher on the table?

Hoffenheim vs Leipzig Final Score Prediction

Hoffenheim put up a masterful effort to secure the draw against Dusseldorf a man down for the vast majority of the match. However, Leipzig has been playing at a different level and should be ready to shake off the bad vibes from that dreadful showing against Paderborn. I see Leipzig coming out ready to play and taking a 3-1 win.
