CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifying Matchday 11 Preview, Games Picks & Betting Lines | Soccer Odds

Venezuela +470 vs Brazil -171

When: Thursday, November 14, 4:00 pm ET
CONMEBOL lines for Draw +295

Venezuela have just two wins in 10 World Cup qualifiers so far, including a 2-1 loss to Paraguay that saw Venezuela fall apart in the second half. They also roll in on a five-match winless streak across all competitions. At the Copa America back in the summer, they took Canada to penalties before losing, and this match brings yet another tough challenge. Attackers Jhon Murillo and Eric Ramirez have been called back up – but William Cuevas and Franklin Barreto are both injured and won’t appear for at least two more weeks. Salomon Rondon is the team’s top striker, and he will lead the team on Thursday.

Brazil thumped Peru, 4-0, in their last World Cup qualifier, giving them back-to-back wins for the first time since the fall of 2023. The last time Brazil visited Venezuela, in October 2021, they rolled, 3-1. In goal will be no less than Ederson, the Manchester City keeper, and Vinicius Junior returns from injury to start as well. It is worth noting that Venezuela and Brazil drew 1-1 in the reverse fixture, but Brazil have improved since then.

CONMEBOL Pick: Brazil to win.

Paraguay +410 vs Argentina -139

When: Thursday, November 14, 6:30 pm ET
CONMEBOL lines for Draw +255

Paraguay was undressed in Copa America play, dropping all three Group D matches. However, they beat Venezuela, 2-1, at home on October 16 and have a four-match unbeaten streak in World Cup qualifiers – including a 1-0 win over Brazil. They lost to Argentina in the reverse fixture but only by 1-0 fashion.

Argentina continue a dominant run that began in 2022 with a World Cup triumph in Qatar. On October 16, they rolled over Bolivia, 6-0, and now stand three points clear at the top of this table – with just two losses over the last two years. Lionel Messi will appear after Inter Miami crashed out of the MLS playoffs in the first round. This rivalry has finished under 2 ½ goals in its last seven iterations. Can Paraguay hang around, or will Messi’s frustration from MLS play motivate him to take over?

CONMEBOL Pick: Argentina to win.

Ecuador -549 vs Bolivia +1400

When: Thursday, November 14, 7:00 pm ET
CONMEBOL lines for Draw +570

Ecuador and Bolivia are only a few points apart in World Cup qualifying, but some of that has to do with the penalty Ecuador placed. They both have four wins in qualifying, the same as Ecuador, but goal differential and defense are both in Ecuador’s favor. In their last four World Cup qualifiers, Ecuador and their opponents have produced a combined two goals, including scoreless draws against Paraguay and Uruguay. While Bolivia dropped four goals on Venezuela, they were demolished with six goals by Argentina. This line seems a little out of balance, but I’m not sure Bolivia can go to Ecuador and pry away a win.

CONMEBOL Pick: Take the draw.

Uruguay +113 vs Colombia +255

When: Friday, November 15, 7:00 pm ET
CONMEBOL lines for Draw +214

These two teams met in the Copa America semifinals, and Colombia prevailed, 1-0, as Jefferson Lerma’s goal stood up. This time around, Uruguay are favored, in no small part due to their status as the home team. Both teams will have to be careful because of accumulation of yellow cards ahead of Friday’s match. Colombia have six starters who would face a one-game ban with a yellow card, which means that the challenges need to be selective – and few. Colombia drew Brazil away on October 26, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see a mutually conservative match go the same way.

CONMEBOL Pick: Take the draw.

Peru +140 vs Chile +206

When: Friday, November 15, 8:30 pm ET
CONMEBOL lines for Draw +206

Little separates the two bottom-feeders in this table. Would you have put down a lot of money on the NFL Giants-Panthers showdown this past Sunday morning? I wouldn’t, because you just don’t know which version of either bottom-feeder will show up. At this point, I wouldn’t expect much out of either team because getting to the World Cup is pretty unlikely for both of them, even though just about all of CONMEBOL gets at least a playoff-shot at soccer’s biggest prize. If you insist on wagering here, go with the home team.

CONMEBOL Pick: Peru to win.
