Online Betting Preview: Dynamo Kiev vs Chelsea

Written by on November 3, 2015

If the Chelsea season so far where to be summed up with a movie title, it would have to be the current flick from Sandra Bullock titled, “Our Brand Is Crisis.” It has been a disastrous start to the season for the Blues so far, and the Champions League may well be their last hope of salvaging anything from this campaign. Chelsea will host Dynamo Kiev at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, with a lot on the line.

Online Betting Preview For Dynamo Kiev at Chelsea Match

Date: Wednesday, November 4th, 2015 Time: 1:45PM Venue: Stamford Bridge, London WE have spoken before about the lucrative nature of the Champions League, and we know that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich likes money almost as much as he likes winning. Chelsea are currently sitting in third in the Group G standings, and a loss here could see them pretty much on the verge of an early exit. It would cost the Russian owner a small fortune to fire Jose Mourinho, but he may feel as though he has no choice if Chelsea fall at the group stage hurdle. The Blues are not coming into this on in form, and were soundly thumped 3-1 by Liverpool over the weekend. This is a team that looks totally devoid of confidence, with a defense that always seems to be a step off the pace of the game. Someone has to step up for Chelsea and take control on the field, but it’s tough to see who that player might be. Eden-Hazard Unlike Chelsea, Dynamo Kiev have been in scintillating form in their domestic league, with just a single loss through their opening 12 games. They have had to battle in the Champions League, though, coming back from behind to tie 2-2 with Porto, followed by a 2-0 win on the road against Maccabi Tel Aviv. They can also count themselves a little lucky to have picked up a point in their 0-0 tie with Chelsea in Matchday 3, as it was the English side that definitely had the better of that match-up. Kiev are unlikely to be too adventurous on their trip to Stamford Bridge, as they know that a draw in this game would suit them very nicely. A draw would keep them ahead of Chelsea by a point with just 2 games left to play.

So, What Should You Bet On?

I expect Chelsea to take this game to their visitors, which does mean that their creaky defense will be left exposed at the back. Just how willing Kiev will be to attack those gaps remains to be seen. An early goal for Chelsea could blow this one wide open, which I believe would send the game in favor of the Blues. I like a 2-1 Chelsea win here.
