Bayern Munich prepares to host Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday in one of the semifinals of the DFB-Pokal, a tournament that includes all of the teams from the Bundesliga, the Bundesliga 2 (second division) as well as qualifying teams from lower tiers. The winner of this match would advance to the final to face the winner of the Bayer Leverkusen-Saarbrucken final. If the name Saarbrucken is unfamiliar to you, they are currently in the fourth division, the first team from that low a tier to make a DFB-Pokal semifinal. On this side of the bracket, though, Bayern Munich comes in as the heavy favorite. They have made six DFB-Pokal finals in the last eight seasons. Last year, they won the final, giving them a record 19 DFB-Pokal championships. However, they lost in the finals in 2018 — against Eintracht Frankfurt. Can the underdogs pull it off this time? Check out our German Cup betting Odds & preview for the Frankfurt vs Bayern.

Why should you put your money on Eintracht Frankfurt?
Eintracht Frankfurt is not a contender for a Champions League slot this year. However, they did deliver a 5-1 beating of Bayern Munich at home back in November. That was the game that caused Bayern Munich to sack former manager Niko Kovac. Since then, Eintracht Frankfurt has settled down to 11th place in the Bundesliga, so they won’t get relegated — and they won’t make the Europa League unless they can win out and take the DFB-Pokal title.
In their last match, Eintracht Frankfurt lost 2-0 at home to Mainz, which is not an impressive result. However, they had won two away fixtures before that. The Bundesliga has seen that away teams are doing better than home teams in empty stadiums, and they hope that this trend continues in Wednesday’s semifinal. Given the fact that Bayern Munich has basically salted away the Bundesliga title, though, the champions now have just this to concentrate on so they can hoist another double.
Why should you bet on Bayern Munich?
Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller should both play for the hosts, given that they will miss the next Bundesliga game because of a suspension. Lewandowski scored his 44th goal across 38 outings in all competitions, including his 30th in 28 Bundesliga matches. Muller now has 20 assists, leaving him one behind of the single-season Bundesliga record, set by Kevin De Bruyne. The only player on Die Roten who will be on the shelf is Corentin Tolisso.
Eintracht Frankfurt has some more injury concerns, as Goncalo Paciencia and Gelson Fernandes have both been ruled out. Filip Kostic was sent off in the team’s quarterfinal victory over Werder Bremen, so he will miss the semifinal, and his absence will hurt the team a great deal. If you like Bayern here, you see their trademark domination coming from start to finish, and even though the hosts avenged their loss to Eintracht Frankfurt in Bundesliga play just a few weeks ago, they will have plenty of motivation to ensure that nothing untoward keeps them out of another final.
Frankfurt vs Bayern Final Score Prediction
Even picking the draw here is dicey, because Bayern Munich has come out of the chute so strong each match since the Bundesliga resumed play. They made Eintracht Frankfurt look like they were standing still in their home fixture, and with Lewandowski and Muller playing with a bit of a chip on their shoulders, they could hang another five-spot on the visitors. I predict that Bayern will prevail, 4-1.
