There’s little surprise at the top of the Bundesliga table in the 2020-21 campaign, as Bayern Munich is seven points clear of the second-place team with 11 matches left to go. The fact that the second-place team is RB Leipzig, instead of Borussia Dortmund, is a bit of a surprise, though, as Dortmund has struggled, at least for them, and sits in fifth place.
Let’s take a look at some of the top matches for your Bundesliga betting consideration this weekend, along with our thoughts about your wagering choices.
Soccer News: Top Bundesliga Betting Matches
Saturday, April 10
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Wolfsburg (9:30 am ET)
The third- and fourth-place teams in the Bundesliga table tangle on Saturday in Frankfurt, with the hosts having won two in a row and Wolfsburg riding a three-match winning streak. Wolfsburg beat Cologne on Saturday, 1-0, only needing a tally from Josip Brekalo in the 69th minute to prevail. Possession was roughly even, but Wolfsburg outshot Cologne, 12-9 (5-1 on target) in a game that was as even in areas of pressure and pass accuracy as it was in the final tally.
Eintracht Frankfurt picked up a big road win on Saturday, beating Borussia Dortmund, 2-1. The visitors benefited from an own goal in the 11th minute, but then Dortmund drew level just before halftime thanks to a goal from Mats Hummels. It looked like things might end in a draw until Andre Silva tallied for the visitors in the 87th minute. Dortmund possessed for 58 percent of the match and outshot Frankfurt 19-14 (5-3 on target), but Frankfurt brought more physicality, drawing three yellow cards to zero for the hosts.
Final Prediction:
Bayern wins, 2-0
VfB Stuttgart vs Dortmund (12:30 pm ET)
Stuttgart hosted Werder on Sunday, and what looked like a scoreless draw ended up a Stuttgart win, thanks to a late own goal from Werder. Stuttgart outshot Werder, 14-10 (3-2 on target) and possessed for 60 percent of the match, but it took that own goal for Stuttgart to get three points.
Dortmund has to be looking for some redemption after that late loss against Frankfurt. Can they take out their frustration on a team just four points beneath them in the table?
Final Prediction:
Stuttgart and Dortmund draw, 1-1.
