The NFC Champion is a little bit of a surprise. A team that started 6-0 a season ago, but failed to reach the postseason will be the NFC representative in the Super Bowl. The big game will be played on Sunday February 5th in Houston. This is Super Bowl 51, and it will feature the Atlanta Falcons against the New England Patriots. Let’s take a look at the Atlanta Falcons’ odds to win Super Bowl 51.

Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl LI Betting Odds

The Atlanta Falcons have had an incredible 2016-2017 season. Atlanta is playing in just their second Super Bowl in franchise history. The first time was back in 1998 when they fell to the Denver Broncos. This is the first postseason appearance for the Falcons since 2012. During the postseason, the Falcons are scoring 40 points per game. Atlanta scored 36 points in the win over Seattle, and added 44 against the Packers. During the regular season, the Falcons were the top scoring teams in the league with 33 points per game. The last loss for the Falcons was against the Kansas City Chiefs, where they dropped a 29-28 game. Julio Jones and Matt Ryan have connected as one of the top quarterback/receiver duo’s in the National Football League. Matt Ryan is likely the Most Valuable Player in the NFL this season, with just shy of 5,000 passing yards. His top target, Julio Jones caught 83 passes during the regular season, with 6 of them for touchdowns. DeVonta Freeman has been a great running back to add to the top combination. The running back has rushed for over 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Falcons finished third with 295 passing yards on the season, and rushed for an additional 120.5 per game. Defensively for Atlanta, Vic Beasley was one of the top pass rushers in the National Football League. He was at the top of the sacks record all season long. During the postseason, Atlanta is allowing 20.5 points per game. That’s much better than allowing just over 27 points per game during the regular season. The Falcons had a total of over 60 for bettors in the game against the Packers. The Atlanta Falcons are underdogs in this game. There is no surprise that the Falcons are underdogs, against the evil empire. The New England Patriots are the team on the other side. Atlanta comes into this game as a field goal underdog. They should have a good time competing in this game, but if we are betting on the game, we would advise betting against the Atlanta Falcons. The bet we would make is the New England Patriots -3 over the Atlanta Falcons.
